Very well done Nuno. I'd just recommend you to use multiple layer with the flags texture with different layer options (I use 2 or layers with multiply around 80% opacity and strong light around 25% opacity), let's try your flag will look much better (like mine so!!) Also, the texture you've used on Portugal flag was given to be used on fabric hand made banner.

Yes i tried that and they look good, really! but the color/logo layer.. it's only multiply, right?
