Hi i also have this problem my direction buttons donot work either. I got my converter from game but ill keep you informed if i work anything out.

Mate i found it go to http://www.controller-configurator.com/eng/home.php

it says fifa 06 but it works on 07 aswell!!!!

I tried that site but I still get errors I updated my FIFA 07 but I cant seem to restore it AND I do not want to REinstall it, any help?

You can't just use that file that you download. You have to open it in notepad and copy the section for the controller you're editing into the same file located in data\input in your FIFA directory. Make sure to copy it over the controller you are editing.

Sure. When you create that file download it and open it in notepad, you'll see a few different sections. Select and copy the one that looks like this:

With the controller name, depending on the controller you are editing.

Using notepad, copy it over the same section in the devdata.dat located in your FIFA directory data\input.

Guys, I bought a cheap controller, which has 2 sticks, but FIFA only recognizes the left one... The pad isn't on the site you provided. Any way I could activate the right stick? All buttons and left stick work.

Its name under windows is : MP-866 Dual USB Joypad. I changed the configuration for this name with controller-configurator but the right analog is still not working. I think it's an EA bug (not the first one anyway...)

You basically need to trick windows and FIFA into thinking it's a different controller.

Sounds like you need to figure out which button is mapped to which number. I had a problem at first too but once I figured that out it was easy. Co into Control Panel-> Game Controllers and there should be a test section for that controller. Press the buttons and see which number lights up and make a note of it for each of them.

Could anyone post a valid ps2 layout? Lol, never had a controller, so I have no idea how to set the buttons. I just know x=pass, circle=shoot, squere=long pass.

This is what is is for mine. I have the PS2 controller with a PSX to USB adapter from Radio Shack:

1=triangle
2=circle
3=X
4=Square
5=L2
6=R2
7=L1
8=R1
9=Select
10=Start
11= LStick button
12= RStick button

The in game actions should be in the manual. In the menu's I have them mapped to:

x=accept
triangle=back
square=settings
circle=help
L1=previous
R1=next
L2=previous formation
R2=next formation

Yes I tried this before and all buttons were ok but in the game it was totally different, even the axes were wrong (I sprinted when using the upper axe etc).
Besides all the other games were mad too (Fifa 06, NBA Live, my car games etc).
Hopefully I've just been able to solve the problem and restore my previous gamepad using the recovery system from Windows.

if you have to rely on the right analogstickto play FIFA 07 then you suck and should learn2play i rarely use the right analog stick and iown on world class difficulty and own other ppl its your lack of skill so elarn to play without teh right analog stick the right analog stick is meant for helping you a bit not doing everything for you. so bottom line learn to play without it and learn to play without relyingon teh right analog stick and eventually you wont even need it

im not trying to be a jack@$$ but seriously thats sad that youhave to rely no the right analog stick to win games.

bottom line its your lack of skill that you lose all the time and not cause your right analog stick doesnt work. kep playing and get better.
