I have now played no less than 50 matches with different teams and I just noticed I never scored with a header. All high passes from the wings never resulted in players heading one in.

In 05, 06, WC and RTWC I never had this much trouble scoring trough an aerial pass. Yeah they went in almost all the time which isn't what I had in mind either. But it should be possible, I mean i made 100+ goals and none of them were headers. What the hell am I doing wrong? Give me some tips or something I can try.

I have the eaxct same problem.

All crosses I attempt, even dummy crosses, low crosses, turn crosses always result in the defender heading the ball away. I have never scored from a cross.

I have scored headers from free kicks and corners though, so I know it is possible.

its more difficult in this fifa to score with headers, since now you actually have to give to the lob the correct amount of power to put the ball on the head of your players. Its all about mastering those high passes. Rember that you can use L1 + through pass, L1 + lob, and Double tab Lob, to have different kind of passes from the wing.

It's good that's harder to score a header, in fifa 2006 was it to easy, and now it's just fine :) I scored from the 100 goals so far, 10 headers (without headers from corners), 25 shots from far away, 5 penalties, 5 free kicks, 10 corners, 5 own goals and 40 from in the box :) so it's almost at the good level all of them not?

I have scored three headers so far, unfortunately I was offside on all three of them. The thing I noticed was when my players were all alone offsides they aggressively went after the ball in the air. When they are marked they just seem to stand there. On that matter, I am still investigating.

OK,
...to score with a header all you need to do is:- as you are about to take a corner or make a cross you have to put pressure on the directional button towards the area of the goal byou want to score in.....(which in turn makes your player push the defender)...the more pressure you use the more likely you will make that header and score :ewan:

This really does work, just try it .Its a pretty cool and works :)

Just as in real life an unmarked player will have a better chance of making a good header, and when the target man is marked you need to use the left stick to try and gain a better position or a little bit of space. It isn't always easy, but I've scored some good goals from headers and it is a skill well worth mastering because it helps in defensive situations too.

I dont think its the headers that are the problem, I think its the crosses.

My cross will either go behind my players (so much behind that it is out of the penalty area) or in to the little area, where the keeper always gets it, OR simply just behind the goal...

same thing happens to me sometimes...

I havent had to much trouble scoring from headers. It is much harder than than 06 and wc06, but that's a good thing. One thing I do that helps is use the 'jostle for the ball button'. Its button 8 on my logitech. You also have to try to use the left analog stick and fight for position just like you would fight to recieve a goal kick. And sometimes even if it looks like you're completely covered try to head it anyways, because everyonce in a while your guy will will be able to get his head in at the last minute for a decent header.

Another thing I've noticed is that they've really cut down on the amount of headers that just pop over the bar from 06. Headers in 07, while harder to set up, are more likely to be on goal.

On 06 headers were way to easy, the keepers reacted really slowly to them. I have scored a few, mostly online. Yesterday i scored a perfect one that went in off the bar.
It is possible to hit them over the bar.

P.S. - Is there any way to hit a higher cross, most are volley height.

I've scored so many goals with headers. what are u guys talking about? it's not difficult at all. Just drag the ball a little, change direction a little, and then cross.

Don't just run with the ball and cross straight away. You're never gonna score a header like that
