View Full Version : fifa.exe crashes
xomikronx 11-10-2006, 04:59:AM Hi,
I've just installed my fifa. Tried to play it. BAM crashes before it even does anything. Does that send error report thing. Run the .exe, screen goes black (as if it is about to start the game) then it just crashes. I've tried reinstalling so many times, but same result. Any clues?
MelvinSmiley 11-10-2006, 05:07:AM By it.
xomikronx 13-10-2006, 05:51:AM I don't think that would solve it. It's a registry corruption or something.
Hrvoje Bajlo 13-10-2006, 07:27:AM do you have original game?
patty_b04 15-10-2006, 09:35:PM I've been having the same problem, and i have the original game.
At first i put it on my P.C and everything worked fine, but then i had to free up some space for a day or two, so i un-installed it, and when i put it back on it kept crashing on startup, and doesn't even bring up a error report.
All my other games work fine, if nyone has a solution it would be a great help.
xomikronx 16-10-2006, 11:40:PM yes I do have the game. Bought.
xomikronx 17-10-2006, 12:16:AM OKay...I've figured it out.
For those that are crashing, I'm guessing you have dual-screen capablilities? In my case, I do. Somewhere in the config files my video card settings screwed up and turned on the clone screen mode. Just go into your dual screen settings and turn it off, and allow only single monitor. That fixed it for me. Good luck.
patty_b04 19-10-2006, 12:19:PM solvd mine the day after i posted, it's stupid really, i have 2 controllers which are the same make, i unplugged 1 and it worked fine. Odd

slaid 22-10-2006, 01:52:PM Arun what did you do the last time?
I get the same issue aswel, I have never had this problem for Pro Evolution Soccer Series.
I don't know if this will work for you but it did for me replace your FIFA07.EXE (C:/programfiles/easports/fifa07) with the original one from you disc and it should work.

sledge_zzz 15-11-2007, 02:28:PM my prob goes like this: game works fine, but every time i score a goal it crashes and gives me an error log: it says" application exception ocurred:c:/program files:/ea sports/fifa07/fifa07.exe.
exception number c0000005 (acces violation)."
What should i do. Could this be a register problem? Please help, thanx .
Oh and one more thing i only have 224MB Ram not 256. If I upgrade to 512 MB of RAm ,would that solve the problem? Other minimum requirements are ok.

I think you have 2 problems. Not enough ram, you have 256MB with 32 MB being shared for memory and you're most likely using onboard graphics.
512MB will be a minimum, I would encourage you to get at least 1 GB (1024 MB) and I would recomend getting a decent Graphics card to run the game. I'm not sure of your specs or budget, but would be happy to give you advice if wanted.
