Could someone confirm whether the pc version is "next-gen" or another ps2 port?

It appears none of the versions are next gen graphics and that includes the xbox 360 version.

PS2 port. The 360 version is the only one which uses newish stuff.

The xbox 360 version has superior a.i., better animations,a slower tempo and obviously better graphics compared to the ps2.

It would be wrong for konami to release a ps2 port for the pc, as this will piss off 99% of their pc customers.

I think Pes6 on Ps3 will better than xbox360 game,so if i have nvidia 7700gt i will have a better pes6 than xbox360...it's a newbie topic.. :D ...

it's quite obvious... xbox360 and ps3 get the nice-graphics-next-gen versions of both fifa07 and pes6, the rest (pc, ps2, xbox, gamecube etc.) get the bad-graphics-current-gen versions. it doesn't matter if you have a super-computer, pc only get current-gen fifa and pes.

It really is not such a big deal, we know next years version will be next gen for the pc anyway. How many of you are going to decide well knackers, just for that i am not going to buy it this year ?.

Anyway, I would be really surprised if konami give us the ps2 gameplay this year, it wouldn't bother me if the graphics are similiar to the ps2 version, but if we get the same gameplay as the ps2 then that would be disturbing. :alex:

The response is simple:
If you buy xbox360 microsoft will control also console world..but we talk about BEST SOCCER game in the wolrd so it's simple think about this quest.
If we see a demo of pes6 on pc anybody don't it would buy on 360 but it's true that anybody would buy a 360 console :D

As far as i know.. Pes6 PC will use the same graphics engine as the ps2 version. Only difference is the ability to change the resolution and detail for the PC version.

There are no PC screen shots out there and there are no links with any concrete info. There is only Seabass' statement that development was lead on the PC but this doesn't necessarily mean that the PC will have 360'ish graphics. As usual, Konami doesn't seem to care much about it's PC customers

My guess is that the PC will be on par with the PS2 version except with the ability to ramp the resolution a la PES5. If this is the case then that will suck but I can wait for the next version as long as they fix the problems with PES5 and build on the gameplay.

No next gen version. Even 360 doesn't actually get a next gen version. And a crippled edit mode. And Fifa has no tricks. Life sucks these days.

You're wrong, FIFA was not programmed on PC, FIFA is always programmed on PS2 and then ported to PC, sure they need to program on PC but the game is a port, that's why it have the same graphics, programming on PS2 is stopping the evolution of the games.

About PES i think it can be different this year, there's no info and they said they've programmed it first on PC, who knows... might not be as XBOX 360 version but at least not a port from PS2.

Seabass: I can’t give you all, but I can give you the main topics of the new online mode. We expanded the multiplay much more so if you have four consoles and two players on each console there’s a maximum of eight players for online. Also we decided to have the PC players and the PS2 players play for the first time together online. Those are the two biggest things that we implemented in PES 6.

It really is a disgrace ............they develop pes6 on the pc, yet the superior version is for the 360 only. Are they purposely trying to lose income from the pc sales this year ?


Q: PS2 was the lead platform for Winning Eleven/PES. It was basically your bread and butter and where you sold millions of copies of games. What do you think your lead platform is going to be in the future?

Seabass: It was a natural flow from our development from PS1 to PS2 and it’s a natural flow to understand that it’s going to be PS3. But with the 360 version in development and its going to be out this fall (in Europe) this natural flow might not be the natural flow in the future.

We still think that the PC, 360, PS3, and Wii considered as next gen, we will not differentiate or create specifically for those. Our goal is to create something in the center and then spread out where the audience is.


Yet again the pc version is undercut.

The online lobby is still that ******* monstrosity of a console gui, and I bet there isn't even a widescreen setting for the pc.

It seem's they are totally inept and stuck in their nice warm comfy shell and since they started development on the pc this year, THEY SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENTIATED THE PC VERSION FROM THE PS2 VERSION THIS YEAR.

I am really disappointed about this and from the videos that i've seen I don't expect anything great from pes6.
