hey guys..i havent played WE for a while now..(damn u university)
i just had the soccer fever rising again..so i was just wondring if any body know how to add a NATIONAL team in WE9 "livewire" ?? i want to change the flag and the name of a national team to my own country ones...

i used to play arround with pes5 and was different..i remember the faces were in the text_0.afs..now i dont seem to find them there..

1st step : change the flag , I can do it for you it does't take much time , but maybe you prefer explanation on that .
2nd step : change the team name using a hexeditor , I can either do it for you or explain how .
3rd step exchange the already ingame players nationalities , that you can do it in edit mode or using pesfaneditor
4th step create the missing players that also you surely know how to do .

now you just have to tell me wich national team do you want me de change into yours (iraq ?) or if you prefer me to explain how :jap:

there are many ways to replace the flags here is mine :
- using graphic studio you open 0_text.afs and go see the flag files wich are the unnamed or unkown_00470 to unkown_00473 (4 files) .
if you click on any of those files and wait a bit you'll have a lot of flags shown like this :

why 4 files for the same flags ? notice that the size of the flags in each file is different , so the flag file aren't the same for the national team flag or , the nationality selection flag or the master league search option by nationality flag (different sizes) .
in my flag files there is no iraq , there is iraq flag in we-jleague files but not in we9le because there are no iraqi players ingame .
so what I'll do is replace latvia by iraq and guadeloupe by latvia since guadeloupe nationality was added in game because of konami's ignorance of guadeloupe players being affiliated to the french federation (french nt's chimbonda is from guadeloupe for example) .
but I need to create iraq's flag in the suited format , to do that you need at least paintbrush but if you have paintshop pro it's better . I use paintshop pro .
the easyest way to have iraq's flag to me is fifa.com :

ok now that I have the irak flag I also need to extract the 4 latvia flags from the afs using graphic studio . to do that , you have to click on the flag bellow to get it in the big window then right click save as :

in psp (paintshop pro) I open the 5 flags (the 4 latvia flag and the iraqi flag I've dowloaded from wikipedia) :

what I have to do is to make 4 iraqi flags with the same size and color palette than the latvian flags so I'll start with the bigger one wich is the 3rd one not the 4th wich have black border around the flag . the size of the 3rd one is 64x48 so I resize my iraqi flag into that size :

and then I sharpen the pic .

then I copy the iraq flag into the 3rd latvia flag (ctrl^c ctrl^e) .

because of the palette the red part of the flag is messed so what to do to fix it is to use the paint tool with a lot of tolerance :

then choose a red color from the palette on the right side by clicking on it and paint :

ok now you can save this file into another name , let's say iraq3.bmp .
now you have to do the same with the other flags but pay attention to the black bordure on the 2nd and the 4th flags of latvia , you need to keep the same border so what you will do is to resize the iraqi flag to
- 60x48 for the 4th flag
- 30x24 for the 2nd flag
- 22x15 for the first one
important note : before pasting the iraki flag into the 2nd and 4th bmp paint the black part of the flag with a different black color than the 0,0,0 let's say 12,10,14 on RGB values (I picked this color from the palette of the latvian flag) .
this done we have now 4 iraki flags named iraq1 , 2 , 3 and 4 :

now we have to insert it , do not just insert it the way it is mate there is one other important thing to do : fix the opacity .
let's start with unknown_00470 :
if you click on latvian flag and check the palette on the right with graphic studio you'll notic that the first color is transparant and the others are opaque (opacity 0% is transparant and 100% is opaque) :

the unknown_00471 is the same work , only the first color is transparant .
the unknown_00472 and unknown_00472 needs special work as the transparancy have different values depending on the pic . so it's a good oportunity to introduce wepicturedecoder (you got it in the tool pack) .

where is guadeloupe flag ? not really a famous flag is it ? it's the 97th flag of the list , in graphic studio you can see it in the top line between canada and honduras :

well it will be easy to replace it . since there is no national team , there are only 2 flag to replace plus we don't have any transparancy work to do as the latvian flags we took out of the afs have already the right property . so we just have to insert the latvian flags 2 and 4 into the guadeloupean one in unknow_00471 and 473 :

now you need to use the hexeditor given . run it and open you wele exe file .
now push ctrl^F and choose text in the search method :

write latvia and once found you can change it's name and short name into irq and iraq by clicking before the letter and just writing what you want (it replace it automatically) . if the nam you write is shorter than latvia just add spaces .
once done save the exe (usually you should replace also the nationality name but I can't find it because it's in corean :nape: ) .
now you have iraq in game :

you can't change national squad players nationality in edit mode , you should use pesfaneditor to change 2 to latvian players affiliated to a club into the guadeloupean nationality and then replace them in national team , well the rest is up to you mate ;)

apparently the exe i have is korean..so all team names are in korean...i tried using the english exe posted in this website..but it crashes..no big deal though...i got the flag in, now am gonna try to get some faces..am assuming it goes the same way as the flags..but then i need to configure the opt file too...

in the tool pack you have dkz studio , open it and go to toolz , database editor then select the files they ask you to select and run it . you'll be able to change the team names ;)

the database editor asks for a .dbl file..i tried reading online but found nothing helpful..as far as i understand, WE8 had a file named para*****.bin and other files which are the target .dbl ...but in WE9LW i cant find those!

there is no file list as far as I know unfortunately but as long as you can find the faces in the afs it's ok isn't it ?
as far as it concerns dkz doesn't it ask you for 0_text and all instead of the para ? if he asks you for the para it means it's an old version . search in this forum you'll find a newer version and the dbl you need configurated for we9le ;)

sure sure..but i jsut started with editing faces in WE. i never done it before..i tried doing without reading any tutorials just by editing the faces in Photo Shop and then importing them into the .str file...but result was low quality scarpy faces..(it did change..but the eyes where messed up)...and btw..i just realized..iraqi players fotos are really rare !!! i coudnt find any decent high quality pics !!!!

any ways bro..am gonna search for some tutorials if i kept failing...( i always like to mess arround first..then raed tutorials..)..but if u know any specific good tutorial..would appreciate it if u can hook me up..

and, if any one happen to have pics of iraqi players..i would really appreciate them...

of course it's hard to find iraqi player's pics . even for moroccan players it's very difficult when they don't play in europe .

ok..i keep on getting low quality faces..all messed up..i ve been doing the following:

get an original face..extraxt the .png or .bmb images out of it...
with photoshop, i cut and paste my iraqi player face..try my best to match the location of the eyes..mouth..etc..use many tools to get a homogenious skin...(maybe am lowerinng the quality of the face here as many details are lost)..then i import the edited images into the .STR file and back into the ASF..result is: low quality face..

i didnt use oedit..btw
am doing it right? or do i need to use other tools?

btw..bro..here is a pic of any iraqi player..it took me ages tofind a good pic like this..see if u have time to make a face out of it,,

I know salih sdair , isn't he the numer 6 from your olympic team in athene ?
man he's the one who scored against morocco , and if he didn't score we would have had enough goal average to go the second round . even if we won the game the fact that he scored made it as if we lost .

during the olympic I was so happy for Irak especially against Portugal and it's shiny stars . To think the country was in war and the whole team earning 30 time less than c.ronaldo alone ...
unfortunately morocco didn't go to the second round because of goad average with costa rica we should have beat in the first game . but some times the winds does'nt go the way the boats wishes it does .
yes what interest me in the option file is the skill , the height , the weight , which positions can be played by the player , wich foot is his strong foot , the way he shoots free kicks and all the stats .
