It's only November and I think I've had every member of the first squad out for at least 2 weeks. yoyo913 22-10-2006, 07:07:PM change your training to be less intensive, and rest the players more after matches DVC 22-10-2006, 10:08:PM I have noticed a lot of people complaining about the high amount of injuries and red cards they are getting, yet I haven't noticed an increase in 07 from 06. I'm about half way into a season and maybe two of my top stars have been out injured(Xabi Alonso for 3 weeks and Gerrard for a month) but other than that, there have only been a few little niggles and week long injuries amongst some of the lesser used players. As for red cards, I have maybe had 4 players sent off through double yellows throughout the half-season, which is considerably less than what I was getting in 06. I think overall(if it has been increased since 06) it makes it seem more realistic as nowadays you have players going down all the time(Cech AND Cudicini, for example). Gerrard 17 24-10-2006, 05:22:AM change your training to be less intensive, and rest the players more after matches im just using the basic training and dont play my players if they dont have more than 95% fitness... at the moment i have 4 members of my starting 11 out with long term injuries (1 month+) and get new short term injuries every week. The day Ianquita came back from a 2 month injury Bellamy fractured his ribs for 3 months :| Frostwolf 24-10-2006, 05:49:AM They're fixing it in the next patch. It's ******* ridiculous indeed. What pisses me off are the constant injuries in the actual matches... oftentimes I'd have the substitute for an injured player get injured 5 minutes after he comes on. And the defense is atrocious, everyone seems to make schoolboy mistakes at least once a match... and don't tell me to change my settings, I've listened to advice and played around with them. The frequency of stupidity needs to be fixed in the engine. Da Kid 24-10-2006, 09:40:AM Damn! SI fcuked it up again :nape: :nape: They have to release the patch so soon :fool: Gerrard 17 24-10-2006, 04:44:PM It's ******* ridiculous indeed. What pisses me off are the constant injuries in the actual matches... oftentimes I'd have the substitute for an injured player get injured 5 minutes after he comes on. that's happened to me as well... i'm just ******* around with this game to get a feel for it, any idea when the patch will be released so i can start a real game? because patches don't fix saved games, correct? Gerrard 17 24-10-2006, 10:16:PM FFS!!! i just subbed of Xabi because of an injury! http://soccergaming.tv/attachment.php?attachmentid=129779&stc=1 Frostwolf 25-10-2006, 11:18:AM Two, three weeks? I'm also playing around with Madrid just to get used to the new mechanics and tweaking tactics, because they're a bit different to what I was doing in 2006. Fernandez 25-10-2006, 12:02:PM I'm playing as Notts County in League One during 08/09 chasing successive promotions where I suffered injuries to three first XI players. They suffered long-term injuries and during the time they're injured, I didn't win in seven disabling me from chasing second spot. Now I have to chase the playoffs spot. :( Seán D 25-10-2006, 01:34:PM Injuries aren't too bad. You do need strenght in numbers. I signed Nakamura for set pieces and he has only played roughly 11 games in 2 seasons. Not all my top players get injured, just people who are prone to it. Fernandez 26-10-2006, 03:01:AM Oh f*ck me! Just when you thought you had all your strikers back, they get injured again. I had Kalezenga Lua Lua on loan, and he was injured for 3 months, so I terminated his loan. So I get a striker, Marc Elston on 3 months loan, and in his first game, he was injured and is out for 2 months. I kept him though. To add bad news, I had Tcham N'Toya, who just returned and is very much in-form with 7 goals in 8 games, out for three months with ankle ligaments. Then I had Aaron Burns, a United forward on a season-long loan out for the season. Thank goodness that Shane Long is back to full fitness. All of the above players are strikers/forwards by the way. yoyo913 26-10-2006, 03:03:AM dude you're 3 posts away from 10000 rony31 26-10-2006, 10:46:PM I loaned out Stephen Ireland to Hearts, then Sinclair and Trabelsi got injured within days for a month each... no more right wingers :( GAY, but I'll deal with it Gerrard 17 28-10-2006, 10:08:PM yeah really guys there is no injury bug at all http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/6580/injuriespq7.jpg any news on a patch?? the game is unplayable. rpvankasteren 28-10-2006, 10:12:PM A Liverpool fan playing with Man United? Something smells :p Can't give any feedback on the injuries, as I have racked up a total of 3 hours gameplay, with one single friendly played so far. Training in pre-season gave 4 or 5 <1 week injuries... Kibe Kru 29-10-2006, 02:24:AM I've been having trouble with injuries too, but nothing spectacular... Kuyt, Hyypia, and Finnan are currently sidelined, but I believe I can deal with it... jani 04-11-2006, 04:12:AM I've been browsing the SI forums and it seems they are not acknowledging the matter? they say injuries are "realistic"? can anyone enlighten me? Bobby 04-11-2006, 04:37:AM http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/985/assholesqo4.png (http://imageshack.us) :| jani 04-11-2006, 04:44:AM yeah, and SI are saying "not enough people seem to experience this problem" :|:|:| Gerrard 17 04-11-2006, 09:33:AM yeah ive been looking at the SI boards... its funny coz people post screenshots just like Bobby's and they just keep saying it's not a bug (H) ruud the one i posted is actually from the SI forum :p Zlatan 04-11-2006, 10:59:AM Liverpool always was injury-prone in FM, you'll just have to live with it, I guess. In FM 2006 I always had these periods that about all my key players were out and than the next period only a few injury's. jani 04-11-2006, 11:08:AM I always had major respect towards SI in regards to the way that they always handle their "customer complaints". But totally IGNORING this one just plain simply sucks. I really hope something can be done. Socrates 05-11-2006, 09:49:PM Holy ****, talk about taking away my strikeforce...:(:| and I still have the CL final against Chelsea to play. Awsome. http://www.UploadYourImages.com/thumb/337570holyinjury.jpg (http://www.UploadYourImages.com/view/337570holyinjury.jpg) It seems like at least 2-3 times a season I get a big injury issue like this one which just sucks. kickin_kyle 06-11-2006, 04:19:AM The game I'm playing with Benfica right now doesn't have this problem. Infact I've not even had more than two first team players out at the same time. Bobby 06-11-2006, 06:08:AM Holy ****, talk about taking away my strikeforce...:(:| and I still have the CL final against Chelsea to play. Damn, who do you have in RM Castilla? Socrates 06-11-2006, 12:40:PM Damn, who do you have in RM Castilla? Noone good really, I tried to use Lional Frank but he was pretty wank and needless to say the end of the season was a bit hard but I did win the CL:D. Robinho and Bueno were fit enough to play and it was a lucky game for me oh and the red card to a Chelsea player did help too. I cant pull up the actual game now because I am long past the CL but here is a pic of the last fixtures...man the loss to Valencia was hard to take but I had won the league by then and I was playing with a bunch of youngsters and also I had been red carded early on. Does anyone else think there is too many red cards in this game? http://www.UploadYourImages.com/thumb/920490untitledcl_win.jpg (http://www.UploadYourImages.com/view/920490untitledcl_win.jpg) I am into my next season and already have 3 players out for 2 months and 2 of them are strikers. The funny/weird thing is none of these longterm injuries happen in training but all from games that I have played. http://www.UploadYourImages.com/thumb/133091new_season_injury.jpg (http://www.UploadYourImages.com/view/133091new_season_injury.jpg) PaPaGeorGeo 10-11-2006, 02:17:AM errrr http://www.soccergaming.tv/attachment.php?attachmentid=129953&stc=1 Aarfy Aardvark 10-11-2006, 10:30:AM Crap training, usually accounts for this... I've never had major problems if I sort my training out properly. Clearly if nearly all your strikers are out injured you should be looking at the training schedule and make reductions to it. d3adly 10-11-2006, 12:31:PM you got any suggestions for training schedule then? Aarfy Aardvark 10-11-2006, 02:15:PM you got any suggestions for training schedule then? Generally try and play to specific strengths of the player and adhere to them. I often find heavy physical training can cause lots of problems - so if in doubt reduce it. You don't really want to put this on really high-heavy or intensive. If a player is feeling jaded, give him a rest and stick him on a light schedule. Also, when a player comes back from a bad injury - don't put him back into the first team. Stick him on an intense aerobic work-out and test him out in the reserves for a few matches. Bump up his normal schedule to light, then onto medium and then onto full when he his feeling match-fit. This will take about 2 to 4 weeks depending on the severity of the injury. Also look at reducing tackling and pressing. Putting tackling to high for someone with say 12 or 13 - could well make the player fly into a challenge and injure himself. Secondly if a player has poor stamina - its best not to get him to press for 90 minutes, as he'll tire rapidly and this in turn can cause a greater risk for injury. Bobby 17-11-2006, 01:12:AM http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/12/fckkeepersle8.th.png (http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fckkeepersle8.png) of all positions :| Gerrard 17 19-11-2006, 03:08:AM On my new game i'm well into my 2nd season and i havent had any injury spells... weird. rony31 19-11-2006, 03:58:AM I think it's pretty random... like I didn't have any SERIOUS problems for a while, then all 3 of my DMs got injured at the beginning of the season :( in all fairness it's not that bad, sure its annoying once in a while but what can you do d3adly 19-11-2006, 04:06:AM the pattern seems to be that one area of the squad gets injured heavily. Bobby 19-11-2006, 04:55:AM lost all my left mids too, played an MC (Laudrup's kid) from the youth team out there. Christiansen recovered in time for my next match (barely). So I had a keeper. Aarfy Aardvark 01-12-2006, 07:37:PM I had a run out using a month with Liverpool under the general default training regime. About half my first team squad were decimated. Ranging from 4 weeks to 4 months. So, in short - use your own training regimes. I still think that the new patch does little to resolve the obscene amount of injuries during the game however. |
