So here is the first one:

- if you only change the hair color from a player when you edit, the commentators don’t say his name anymore

the bicycle kick ALWAYS scores.

that's a bug.

When ball is moved to attacking player,he is highlighted (solid circle)indicating I have control over him but NO! he is just walking on the spot until a defender beats him to it.

Opposing striker breaks through my defenders and they (3 or 4 of them) take wild lunges from behind despite me not touching the 'tackle' button. This usually results in a foul which I didn't do. Often I will let the controls go altogether and allow the attacker to deal with the goalie and sometimes my defender will get the ball from the attacker with absolutely NO input from me. I am reduced to spectator.

My defender will pass the ball to an attacker and then run forwards , kindly allowing the attacker several metres of clearance. In fact the AI often takes control of MY players, sending them off in directions I do not input.

I got another bug, before taking a free kick, a player always flickers and it is very annoying, i don't know if u guys have noticed it or not. But check it out.

I agree with the controlled player slows down... Also, what about when your player kicks the ball hard and hits an opponent nearby. Your player scurries off instead of going after the ball and trying to kick it again! There are lots of stupid new "innovations" that we were better off without in FIFA 2000.

The 'network' system doesn't work, you both see the same intro but you are both playing a DIFFERENT game.

When i press the "Attacking Press" - button, i sometimes see two players tackling the same player, one from behind and on from the front?? http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/confused.gif

I can do bicycle kicks against the CPU, but why the hell can't I do a bicycle kick if there are 2 or more players in a game? Each time I try a bicycle kick or volley the defender somehow gets the ball. Another piss poor gaffe by EA. I couldn't do it in FIFA 2000 or Euro 2000 either - gotta be that lame game engine which was started in FIFA 2000... Bring back the old gameplay of WC98 with the spectacular volleying ability of FIFA 99 I say...

Also i notice - Werder Bremen seem to have Wolfsburg's badge on their kits and flags!

BTW SCTW I am writing an article on what the future of FIFA games should have - it's not a wishlist, but has a lot of my opinions on what should be and should not be in FIFA 2002. It will be at www.fed2001.com (http://www.fed2001.com) in a few weeks...

I dont know if anyone noticed this but when you go to render options there is only "detail level" bar and also as you can read in information booklet that comes with the game there is suppose to be much more options like screen size bar crowd animation, lighting effects, and cheats.
And Of course( probably everybody knows about this by now, but I'm still going to say this) there is only one team in the others section.
I'm a big fan of Dynamo(Kiev) and I was really dissapionted that it was missing fromthe game.

dimony - I know, it suxx - it's reminiscent of the same option in Euro 2000...
Setting the slider to below the middle makes the frame rate go slow, because there are no lighting effects, and the polygons look ugly... Though the top end of the scale we get full detail. We should be able to select the certain rendering options as in FIFA 2000...

That problem is caused by your 3D card my friend.I have a 32mb 3D card and I have that problem when the automated replay(the one after u scored a goal)was played...but it happens only if the camera angle is very far.

One of the many but most annoying bug that I have encountered before is when u run the game and exit the game to Windows.Then if you wanna play the game again(without restarting or shutting down ur PC)....it says illegal operation and I have an original copy of the game!

To be honest, i think the future of PC Soccer games will either be dominated by
a) Microsoft (MS Soccer 2000 rocked, but i don't think many people got a chance to play it, too bad they did not release a demo cuz the game was good)
b) EIDOS (They made UEFA Champions League 99/00)

The goalie saves my 'rocket of a shot' but punches it back out where my player intercepts with NO challengers nearby. I press 'shoot' but does my player shoot? No he punts the ball out of play towards the sidelines ah la World Cup 98. 'If it's in the game' my arse.
