The wording used in your question makes it seem ill-posed.
Lets see if I can decypher what you mean. Are you saying
that FIFA 07 accounts for players away in international duty
in career mode? If so I missed this one. But in any case, if
there is this new feature, then I would agree premier league
teams would not play games during the international
window but the lower divisions would. But hey! When
does EA ever get it completely right? They have errors
in the game they have never fixed from version to version!

The most egregious element of this new 'feature' is that if you are running with a small squad you can actually lose games by default during the internationals because you can't field enough players!! An interesting new 'realistic' element, but badly thought out and implemented.

I play with Juventus and once they called Buffon, Camoranesi and Del Piero for some international game against Sweden. But I didn't have any GK to substitute Buffon, so the next game they just counted me a loss against Arsenal in EFA because I didn't have any GKs.. :))

Its not a realistic element at all because every top league all major European countries breaks for the internationals.

yeah but also most teams would carry a squad that includes more than one goalkeeper. They've always had problems with the scheduling though, in both 06 & 07 you come to days where u have 2 games on the same day so it's no real surprise. The feature's a good thing in my opinion, they just need to tweak it a little in the fututre.
