Players contract problem--HELP!!

Hi,
I am in manager mode; and i just finished a season.
SO i am renewing the players contracts; and i renewed a player contract for 4 years, everything was correct, but then:
I went to the main menu of the manager mode, and then returned to the players contracts menu, and the player that i had renewed the contract, now says that i failed to renew his contract.

How can i solve this?

Why did this happened?

Don't worry about it. The player has been re-signed, just as you think, it is just a rather odd message that the game shows you if you go back into the contracts screen

I played some matches in the season, and the message that said that "I had failed to resign the player" now is gone, and the years of contract that i resigned him and everything else are correct now.

Problem solved.

This is an "EA" bug.

A bug indeed, but hardly a major one in the overall scheme of things. Looks like someone either forgot the scenario of signing a player, leaving the contracts screen and then going back again before playing the next game, or the wrong string is associated with whatever contract_status the player is in at that point.
