I remember when Valerenga played with Wisła Kraków in eliminations to UEFA Cup and was on one of last places in the league. ( Wisła lost in the penalties if I remember well :( ) But now I see you're dominating in your league. :)

Yes, correct. Penalties. Was nice :D It was 27th November 2003 (on my birthday i remember).. We was on 12th place then (of 14 teams)..

We are much better now. Silver, gold and bronze since we met Wisla Krakow. :)

AIK - VIF 1-1

Goalscorer: Jan Derek Sørensen

AIK started good, and goaled after a lucky goal. Unlucky for Enga.
Then Bernt Hulsker (AIK) get red card, for running down the keeper.
After that it was only one team on the field. Vålerenga got a freekick in AIK site,
crossing in front of keeper, Jan Derek Sørensen headed in 1-1 after 79'

After that was a boring match.

Vålerenga its still groupleader, and now just need one victory to qual for quarterfinal. :lui:

Thomas Myhre leaving Charlton?

Thomas Myhre have told Charlton-manager that he wants home to Norway, and Charlton have opened that for him (if they can get one on loan).

Its two favourite to get his sign, Vålerenga or Viking.
Its possible that more teams will try to get his sign. Lillestrøm, Fredrikstad, Start and Odd will maybe try.

I hope he sign for us, we need a good keeper when Arní Gautur Arason have jumpers knee and back trouble.

Vålerenga 1-0 Rosenborg

Vålerenga Fotball beat Rosenborg in La Manga. Not a good match, but a victory for the Oslo team.

Glenn Roberts who came in for Rune Lange, scored 1-0 for VIF!
Vålerenga did not play well, and Rosenborg didn't play well! Was a boring match.

Jørgen Horn did a OK match. The VIF youth haven't played much in winter.
Grindheim was excellent, and he its even more better as captain!
The rest was OK, and Sebastian Mila got his debut!

Rune Lange didn't play well, and he should scored today. Sebastian Mila ran with the ball on left side, passed 45' out, and Lange shot on keeper.
Too bad for him!

That's was the most important things from this match.
Vålerenga haven't lost since September!

This match was the most crappy game I've ever seen from Vålerenga in a long long time! No attacking football, no defencing football, just... not football.
We could just give LSK a WO, this was NOT good.
We didn't used our youth players like Mohammed Fellah, Glenn Roberts, Kristian Brix and Jørgen Horn. We used just old people today, and they was over trained.

Next weekend its Royal League Quarterfinalen - im not nervous.

PS: Its a good chance that Vålerenga will draw FC København to Quarterfinal!

Vålerenga lost against Helsingborg in Oslo, with one man more
- Vålerenga had the leading 1-0 to the 80'

Vålerenga had a good 1st half, and scored 1-0 at 10 min, after a good pass from the youngster Fredheim Holm, over to a new star, Glenn Roberts.

Vålerenga get more chances to get 2-0 and 3-0, but a good Helsingborg Gk stopped that. Helsingborg had nothing in 1st half.

When the 1st half was over it was 1-0 to VIF.

In 2th half Vålerenga thought the job was done, when Helsingborg got a red card. But they took wrong. VIF did not play well at all, and give the game to HIF. Vålerenga had one chance in 2th half with a good Fredheim Holm who showed us good technique. But a good GK stopped the 2-0 chance.

When it was 80 min played, HIF woke up. First a almost look-a-lika goal from VIF. 1-1.
Later in the game it was a corner who didn't was good, but a bad shot come in again, and a HIF player was in offside, get the ball, referee didn't see it, and HIF could easy score 2-1.

The match was over, it was the badest game from VIF in 10 years. (in 10 years we even had two relegate - that tells a much about this game)

:boohoo:

TIPPELIGAEN 2007
http://www.norskefans.com/image/1/25643.jpg

VIF have had a terrible start of this season.
We're half now and we have only 13 points in 13 games, and only scored 9 goals. VIFs goal differents its: 9-14.

VIF hunting for a striker this summer, who can score some goals. Also a wing.
Its something wrong with this team this season, and now we have to struggle to not relegate.

Players in:
Dan Thomassen
FCK-defender who signed for Vålerenga.

Rumours in:
Daniel Braaten
RBK-wing is from Oslo, and he is now a bosmanplayer. He can finish the season with Rosenborg, but I doubt.

Rumours out:
Árni Gautur Arason
Have 6 months left with his contract. VIF will sell if he don't sign soon.

Fowler to Vålerenga?
http://www.norskefans.com/image/1/25093.jpg

10-03-2009, 04:12:PM
It's a indoor stadium. It's the new home for Stabæk who will play CLQ this autumn. VIF got he more important trophy, the cupgold, last year with 4-1 over Stabæk. Tho, Stabæk won the league championship after a stunner match with 6-2 over Vålerenga. We're going to Europe!

ÆRE VÆRE ENGA!

It was a well deserved win for Stabæk, and yes the stadium is really nice. But I don't like artifical fields though, but then again having regular gras inside is almost impossible and ridicolous expensive.

nor-rbk

Every team has a great chance to surprise against us, we don't nearly have the quality players we had before, but even so everyone thinks we are favourites to win the league, but I'm almost sure we won't. And if VIF wins on Sunday, that wouldn't be any shock at all, not in my opinion at least.

nor-rbk
11-03-2009, 01:00:PM
No, I don't believe you will win the league, not with Andresen as manager. I actually think Lillestrøm will be very difficult to beat this year, but every year there are some teams surprising and other who disappoint.

Roji
11-03-2009, 02:52:PM
That's true. LSK could be dangerous, but I have put them on play-off. Too many players imo. Martin Andresen have won the cup for us, and I think we can win the league with him. I know everyone hates him and never see the good things he do, because he are doing some great stuff as well. I like our new formation, with 4-2-3-1. It's perfect. Fredheim Holm, Mos and Dawda behind Moa. That is pure dangerous for the other teams. With Hæstad and Singh/Andresen right behind. Only the defence are scare the crap out of me.

I think it will be a tough match at Lerkendal Stadion. Both Rosenborg and Vålerenga are hoping to do a better season than last year. Rosenborg finished 5th and Vålerenga finished 10th. Both clubs will probably play Europa League. Rosenborg through Fair Play and Vålerenga through the Cup-gold last year.

Quote from UEFA.com:
Many attributed Stabæk's 2008 success to a miserable campaign for Norway's traditional titans – Rosenborg, SK Brann, Viking FK, Lillestrøm SK and Vålerenga IF all finished outside the top four. However, the expanded league will likely suit these wealthier clubs, with Rosenborg again tipped for the top. The Trondheim side warmed up for the big kick-off by defeating Viking 5-1 in Stavanger, with home coach Uwe Rösler warning: "Rosenborg are in a different league to us, in every department. I can't see anyone else winning the league if they carry on like that."
