I'm managing Chelsea. After 20 league games, I decided to praise Ballack in the media as his performance was superb so far (19 goals, 5 MoMs, Av.Rating 7.8). From the past FM experience, I knew that praising someone too many times may cause problem so this was the first time.

And he reacted by becoming upset and confused? How should I use this system of media release effectively?

Also, can someone please tell me which attribute effects the player's action after a team talk? I once told Robben that I expect a performance and he scored twice after half time. When I told Joe Cole that he can make a difference, his game was brilliant after that. But when I tell the same things to Essien or Drogba, their game just get worse.

In terms of praising a player in the media, dont just pay attention to their overall rating, goals scored and MoMs. I think its there most recent form that dictates how they will take it.. If they have not been performing stellar in the last few weeks they might react badly. If they have, then its just their personality mate...they are obviously just happy with the weekly cheque :p

yes, for instance you got a player with all those stats, but with a recent form of let's say 8-6-6-7...of course he will be confused...try praising a player whose last three games form is like 8-8-8, 9-9-9, maybe 7-8-9, or 8-9-9, you get the point...
