Here's my first season formation with which I won the treble(FA CUP, UCL, Carling Cup. Lost EPL on goal difference..) :

Here are some of my options for season 2 -

Things to consider -
Abundance of strikers.
Need to use wingers.
Will have to buy a RB/WBR and another central midfielder.
Have about 20m left ..

Number 1 won't work as you'll get COMPLETELY overrun in the middle. Number 2 looks ok, but i'd get rid of the arrows on the full backs and CMs, and the wingers arrows pointing straight forward. Number 3 you'll get killed by any team with decent wingers and theres no need for the arrows on the DMs, nor the middle CB. Plus from experience you'll find a gap in the middle between the DMs and AMs even with a DM running into that area.

Get rid of the arrows on the FCs, AM, Full Backs and CB and use your existing formation.

Buy Vanden Borre btw if he's not gonna cost you a complete bomb. He's always my first signing. And get David Jones and Smithy off of the Transfer List! Also loan Bale out to Sporting (who are a feeder club) for a couple of seasons along with David Jones and they come back drastically improved.

Btw how much did Micah Richards cost you and how is he doing? My scouts say he should be an essential signing, but i refuse to pay the £30m+ they expect him to cost me.

Da Kid - Go Away.

Thanks for the reply. REally helped ... Have started my season with a 4-4-1-1 .. Davie Jones is on loan at Aston Villa, Gareth Bale is backup to the first team ...

Richards cost me 10 million ... VERRY versatile. I've used him as DR, DC, DMC, CM and has rarely let me down. He doesn't perform THAT well at RB though ...

Gimme your msn id ... you seem like an FM god :P ... i need help very often :P

Richards for £10mill :| fook me they want at least 3x that in mine at the mo. Bought Raul Albiol for £12mill instead :p and Gonzalo for £5.25mill.
