Bolton beat Preston 3-0 today and gained promotion to the Premier League. It's a pity because I always like seeing 'new' teams come into the premiership.Bolton have been there before and Preston haven't.
Preston North End also have David Healy, one of the greatest strikers Northern Ireland has produced and he used to play for Manutd until they decided to sell him for 1.5 million quid to Preston for some stupid reason.
Jon Macken also playes for Preston, he is also an ex-manutd player. He is a very good striker and Jon and David Healy have linked up well in attack for Preston this season.Pitty they lost :(

It's was quite an interesting promotion matchup for me as both Preston's and Bolton's goalkeepers are from Finland. Teuvo Moilanen is the number one stopper for Preston and Jääskeläinen is the number one keeper for Bolton. I hope Jääskeläinen continues as number one at Premiership level because he is a quality goalkeeper. He is Finland's second choice keeper behind Antti Niemi of Hearts.
Help?3

This sux! I hate to see Bolton there again! Preston wasn't in the main league that much! And they had a great chance!

PhiLLer:
how's Andy Kirk geting on with the NI team?
cos he's broken in well into the Hearts first team scoring 13 goals in the SPL this year.
good player but still lacks some aspects for a striker but he'll get better as he goes on.

yer, i was at the match(but im a man u fan) and it was pretty good. The atmosphere was great, and so was the stadium. I was at the bolton end, so i was celebrating with them(i would have liked to see a penalty shootout). so ive decided to make the millenium stadium for fifa 2001(or at leat try) cos its a spectacular stadium and deserves to be in fifa.

Yeah he got his first cap vs Hungary I think and since then he has been developing steadily. He is still young and inexperianced but he looks quite promising, he has yet to score a goal for NI but I'm sure as soon as he gets a few more games he'll be just fine!

F**KING BOLTON B*ST*RDS!!!!! :(
My Brother had a trial for Preston North End 3-4 years ago, when they were top of the 3rd Division, and they offered him a contract as well!! He turned it down, stupid sod said it was too risky....
So I would have loved to see the boys from Preston get to DREAMLAND, just so I could slag Simon (my bruv) off. He's about 30 years old now, so he could have still been going strong :(
ah well... Maybe next year.
