View Full Version : Not worth buying it-first "get it and try..."
charlie74 30-10-2006, 09:30:AM My enthusiastic 40 euros went for a game with the following:
1)same graphics, same sound, same menu, same master league, one league less (german), same unbearable music
2) Slow down problems for ATI owner (can be fixed by replacing original exe)
3) Crod texture is lower than the one we had in PES4
4) Option to mix kits has gone
5) several options for formation settings are gone
6) On line not working, and when working still a lag farse
7) Without lod mixer still the same baldness and lack of details
8) No Demo release and no web site about the game
9) Correct if I am wrong, but the AFS files are smaller than the ones in PES5 (which says alot about how much they took away)
Now honestly regardless of whether u love the gameplay or not, i would strongly suggest you to try the game before wasting 40 euros. I mean i truly believe this version can be called "PES5 official patch0.1" and should have been downloaded for free.
Maichal1616 30-10-2006, 10:09:AM In fact it should be called PES4 v4.5. On the other hand, as it has even less contents than PES4 maybe it should be like PES3 v3.9?
Anyways, I quite like the gameplay tweaks this time around (though the game is still blatantly scripted), but I completely agree that this 'new package' isn't actually worth a penny.
Sirasoni 30-10-2006, 10:47:AM But why to shout like that? :) I think there are enough topics going on where people can read that there are lots of problem with PES6. But if you have enjoyed PES series, I think you should give them another chance rather try to f*ck their sales volume ^^
I think PES6 last version from old PS2 engine and they will have to come up with new interface and engine which is based on latest graphic engine. Further more more professional network option/menu are necessary cuz fonts/submenu look like PS1 game.
But nevertheless give Konami another chance, who knows maybe they will release new patch with lots of improvements. :)

I will give konami plenty of chances, but for the time being i warn people before they waste 40 euros like myself.

yes... the game is not worth a dime without the efforts of Juce and kitmakers-editors... I seriously think that KONAMI should think to pay cut for these people.. the only reason I buy this game is I know editors in this community will make the game bareable(sp)..
You knew the game won't be better in graphics, before the game was released. From the first two games i played, it's brilliant and i think i can't return to pes5 with kitserver after using pes6.

Actually we did not know that, there was no demo and pictures and movies were only about PS2 version and Xbox360. And that's a bit tricky.
mistercocacola 31-10-2006, 01:47:PM i totally agree with charlie. he said right things. no better graphics, first of all one league less (bundesliga - and now i cant play champions league correctly) the same master league, they took away the kits mix option (which was very cool - now it seems like Fifa belaaahhh) for the rest they improve golkeepers movements (in the past they were like tree pieces) but they took off Chelsea license and there are still many unlicensed teams... i hope there will be released a patch that will fix this soon... :boohoo:
cYa
deluxxe 31-10-2006, 04:58:PM ya, they took away Chelsea but didn't they add Man U? I can't remember off the top of my head if Man U was in PES5. I patched it right away with real kits so i don't remember. lol
Juce's lod mixer is already out for PES6 so that helps the graphics a bit. Still no AA support though. WTF?
I think the main thing to remember is, PC always gets the shaft on PES releases. So honestly, should this year be any different? If you ask me, this years release is right on point with the last 5. A mediocre upgrade to an already pretty good game.
BOZZY 31-10-2006, 05:36:PM I wish i had played it before i laid out my money! maybe the next one will be worth it! :nape: :nape:

i totally agree with charlie. he said right things...and the main reason i am not "buying" it is the online problem...i dont care about the graphic and that s*** but online is still fcuked up? HELL NO!!!! (6)
