only software with the NTSC license will work in North America and on this side of the world...the PAL license is for Europe and Japan..in order for a European or PAL game to work on an American tv you will have to get a rather old outdated television..thats the ones that you have to turn a dial to change channels..it doesnt have a remote control either neither is it cable ready lol...go check your grandma's house she may have one in the attic :D ..anyway it will be a tv from the 80's...the game will work somewhat..youll have to use the V-Hold to adjust the scrolling..also the game might only show as black and white..you dont have to listen to me but i got my porn and football videos from Holland and a game called Brian Lara Cricket to work that way..let me know if it works..laters

oh another thing you can try is for you to buy a TV in France and a PSX from Germany LOL.

No it won't, to play a PAL PSX game in North America you'll need a PAL PSX and either a multi-system TV or a PAL TV. I should know since I bought a PAL PSX so I could play ISS Pro Evolution 2 (I already have a multisystem TV). I live in Canada too.

One other option is to get a patch that will convert the game from PAL to NTSC - but to do this you will need a CD burner and a mod-chipped PSX. I won't go into more detail because I believe this board is anti-anything involved with piracy, and anything dealing with mod-chips and the like might get soccergaming in trouble. oh yeah i forgot mines had a mod-chip too lol..sorry for forgetting to mention that to you :) ..i think it costs bout $100US for the chip with installation...but the chip really costs bout $10 and you can go find a blueprint of your playstation model and install it yourself..laters
