Suggestions please.

Have a budget of 15million but can get more by selling a few players. I play a 4-4-1-1 with Rooney in the "hole". I have Klass Huntelaar and Alan Smith as Strikers for now. But they simply aren't upto the task when it doems to the big games. Basically, more often they not, they choke ... so .... anyone ? Aguero ? :S

you can get Iaquinta with that much money, if he's still at Udinese

he's got great stats for finishing, heading, and jumping. He's only 26 at the beginning of the game.

Aguero is anything but a target man I can tell you.

Zigic used to be the perfect target man in FM 2006; 20 finishing, heading, jumping and something like 18 or 19 off the ball and positioning and 202 cm tall. Don't know if he's still any good in FM 2007

Adebayor has a brother. He won't come play for me though.

Kone does a splendid job for me as targetman, 27 games: 19 goals, 14 assists, 13 MotM, avg. 8.04. He isnt the regular targetman, but he's strong, good at heading and jumping.

Zigic works perfectly well with a fast striker. I got him for Zaragoza after Racing were relegated.

I set him as targetman, and targetman supply to head. So everytime a long ball comes, Zigic would head it on, and superfast Ewerthon will chase the ball getting a one on one. He rarely scores though, cos he sucks :(

Klose is the best targetman in the game...he wins so many headers its just unreal. Works really well in a 4-3-3, at least he did when I had Chelsea in the demo. He will be expensive though so I would say go for Zigic, Pazzini, or anyone else with good heading, finishing, strenth, and the other good stuff.

Have a look at Alan Smith.

oh yeah Pazzini is awesome as well. but quite expensive.

I bought him for Milan for some 15m euros (he wasnt even in Fio's first team!) and he's my top scorer now and top assistman. the previous season Gourcuff had 11 assists all season, its only about January now and Pazzini already has around 15. I think he's my best ever buy!

Schumacher from Udinese and Gyan Asamoah.

Luca Toni is another great one

and if you want a cheap effective target man get Christian Rigano

Pazzini is in no way a target man, he is the opposite, even IRL.

Mauro Zarate from Velez

Jan Koller is really the best target man, although his age could be a problem. starts at 33 yrs in the game so you might wanna try him for one season.. and he is really cheap.

Finishing 16
Jumping 19
Heading 19
Strength 20
Stamina 14
Balance 20

He is in Monaco team currently.

Nah, Aguero is Rooney-esque (i.e - sits behind the striker.)

What season are you in?

Klose is a great acquisition if you can get him.
