I agree with many wishws I have seen here, but I have not seen an issue I think is important: Fifa allows the user too little control over team and league (or cup) set up, using many "randomizations".

Most of the following suggested changes are not difficult to make on top of the usual FIFA set up:

1) TEAM FORMATIONS: Allow the user to manually set the position of EACH player on the field for each one of the formations available. I don't like to see my start forward going all the way down to the defense when I change formations, just because FIFA shuffles the players from one formation to the next (seemingly at random). I have found that latest FIFA incarnations give the user less and less control over this feature.

2) CUP SET UP: Another place where the user has no say, but has to rely on random selections. I don't think it will be too difficult to allow the user to set up all groups in a world cup, for instance, MANUALLY. You can leave the randomization feature, but as an extra possibility.

3) STADIUMS AND KITS: Why limit the number of stadiums and kits that a FIFA game can use? This makes no sense, as these (stadiums, kits and other graphics) are loaded for each game. Why not allow the user to set ANY stadium or kit to a given team? We now have enough space in our disk for hundreds of kits and stadiums. Why just XX kits (64 or whatever)? When the user is going to select a kit for a given team, there could be an option that opens a popup dialog box asking the user to locate the corresponding file, without any limit to the files that can be used.

I have seen the structure of the FIFA games (I have been buying them since FIFA97), and I can't see why these changes cannot be done (easily, I may add). Anyway, for me, the most important change above is the first: it is the one that will most affect gameplay in a positive way. (no more Batistuta playing as a 2 when changing from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3, for example)

Thanks for your attention. I hope EA sports sees this, and that people support my ideas.
