Even though I am not a Leeds fan I would like to express my disgrace at UEFA!
I know that many of might be fed up with these kind of topics but i just want to say what a disgrace this whole leeds/galatasaray thing has been.
The latest disgrace is this:
Leeds have been charged by UEFA for failing to control their players(4 leeds players were booked in turkey)!!!
BTW you can read the full article over at
www.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sport/football/
newsid_711000/711654.stm

Under all these circumstances of that day when they played each other it surely understandeble that the leed players were badly affected by the things that happend.
Yet "the suits"(UEFA) still charge them!!!??
An other disgrace is that UEFA still dont wanna give a desicion on wether Gala fans are allowed to travel to leeds for the game.
They delay the desicion even though they want to let the gala fans attend the match but are under pressure.
Here are all the disgraces:
1.The game goes ahead after the violence because otherwise UEFA will lose money(o what a shame )
2.Leeds have to make their own black bands!!
3.The turkish police treat the leeds fans as if they are ****!
4.no minute silence
5.Uefa dont wanna ban gala supporters
6.They charge leeds!!!

If this is no disgrace then what is??!!
(I dont wanna offend anybody eith this view but this is what i think personally!)

Oh Phil, thanks for that completely biased one sided view of the situation here, just what we needed...

Don't blame the Turks, man! So, in your disgraces column, I disagree with number 3, but everything else is spot on! I wish European footie had a less comercial governing body...

the best way to show UEFA and Galatasaray who's the best is a 4-0 thrashing at Elland road http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Keep in mind that these fans are not the same ones that comitted the crime. So why ban them?

I wrote some stuff under another topic, so check that out too. Just to add:

1. The Turkish fans are banned not only as a punishment, but as a safety precaution from rightfully raging English fans.

2. Turkey has a long past of violence, ranging from the "Welcome to Hell" posters to that cop bashing Catona's face with his helmet.

3. Can anyone imagine the commotion if it was the other way around? Everyone would say, "Oh, yeah, those Drunken English, they also get in fights", and all English teams would probably be expelled from Europe, as would the national team.
By the way, Leeds' supporters have been extremely well-behaved this season, staying calm even in the firey Roma stadium.

4. Bottom Line, I couldn't agree more; this is a disgrace, a shameful day for UEFA and soccer in general.

Why ban them??

if a team goes to a away game and has two of its supporters killed then doesnt that mean something.....

it mighnt been the gala supppoters who did it but what about other away teams travelling there??

can we guarantee their safety???
