Has anyone tried the online portion of the game in US, is it playable with good connections from Europe?

yeah..should i order PES6 or wait until it comes out here in the US in January? If I play online with people in Europe will it be unplayable because of lag? Will it be a waste of money since its supposed to come out here in January 2007?

Well, my pal sent me the game from Ireland last week, there are a few annoying things with it, (blank menu screen, flawed edit mode,) and I havent been able to connect to konami servers as yet, matter of fact konami-europe apologised last week for the poor online mode!!, everything else with the game is fine.

I tried on couple of occasions, and it's pretty much unpayable. I had some good games though. You just have to wait 'til most Europeans are sleeping.. which is starting around 10-11pm EST until 3am. That's the time I can play with almost no lag, but unfortunatly it's not lagfree everyday. Their servers are horrible.. I don't really understand how they released the game with untested servers.

so you suggest that i wait until it comes out here in the US? because it will be a waste if I order it from europe cuz the lag is horrible. I really just want to play it online.

When I've played it during the later hours (after 9-10 EST) I've had some fun and enjoyable games.

There were problems with the servers since the launch of PES6. But today they have fixed it and it's working flawlessly. I had some really good games with almost no lag. And also alot of players are or have already bought PES6:) So I would suggest go and buy it. It is alot of fun!

alright I can't resist the temptations! I have to buy it! But will the US version have more players online?

I'm in the US, and I got my new copy via a UK seller on Ebay.
I tried to use the online mode a few days after the game came out, without any luck.
Not suprising. You look at what EA had to go through getting FIFA to work online smoothy, and there's no doubt Konami will have growing pains.

I'll start looking for US players after 9pm EST.

We need a USA group if no one has created it yet.

where did you guys order from? last year i ordered from play.com and had no problems but they have been out of stock for a while and the only other site i know of is cd-wow which seems to be out of stock as well. any other sites worth checking out?

BTW - it says the DVD-ROM is "PAL". Disregard that, as it makes no difference when using PC games.
