This is the name I would give to this game, and that's after playing only few matches, and this is probably the first time I have such impression of the new game so soon. As I've been playing WE10 end to end stuff for past few months, I noticed that there is a serious speed difference, the pace of the game here is totaly right! The defence is on the PES5 level whilst playing with mid strength teams, while you have trouble only when going against super star players, as in real life. Keepers are fixed, the refs don't go off for every nudge, and the shooting still requires the perfect positioning and direction. Yes, there is a reason for further discussion on shooting, but, I think what we have here is total realism, a huge difference between players, shooting with stronger legs... Overall, the game has the best from PES5 and WE10, and it's definitely worth buying! Thanks!

Yeah I love it as well. I think you will find it's the same people whining who were moaning last year when PES5 was released.

Adapt noobs , adapt.

The thing is that the people have expectations high for no reason! We all agree that this game is by far the best soccer simulation. Imagine that there was no PES! What would real soccer fans play, FIFA, TIF or what? No way! So, please lets once all be greateful, and honest.
Only thing that the makers should try to improve is the little details around the gameplay itself, for example;
- put a coach feature and transfer the coaches as well in Master League, and let the coach run tactics and formation features automatically, during the match, make subs etc... If you can play a role of certain players, why not play a role of a coach!?
- There should definitely be half time results, or result update of other matches played in your group, in World or Euro Cup feature.
- include linesmen
- there should be an option/feature where you could argue with the ref and earn a card for it, or even hit an opponent... all this during situations allready included in the game, when you have fouls that end up with argument and pushing around animations
- create a database of all world players currently registered in all 1. divisions of all countries (at least european ones+Brasil+Argentina+Japan), so that it would be easy to create your favourite team/club... and have everyone enjoying the game equaly.
- more stadiums (at least one from all european countries other than these from top five leagues)
(I keep mentioning Europe, for the simple reason of popularity of football, I mean, in my country, Croatia, at least 80% of younger generation are football fans. Yes, our league sucks, but satelite TV brings all football actions across Europe to almost every home!
- renew the menues, we are a bit tired of these

... this is my short wishlist for now, actualy, it always was like this one!!!

And for those of you who worry about the game, don't worry, you just need to master it, the passing, defending, shooting... and you'll be happy again!!!

I'm not saying that this is "the worst PES ever" since it's not. But does it mean that because there is no better football game around we have to be greateful and lick Konami's ass even if the game has a lot of flaws and basically the same game than last year with a bit of twist????? Since Konami ain't really developing PES much (at least not before the real next gen versions) they've taken the EA's way.
Konami is so confident that EA really can't make a soccer game that they don't have to put much effort into their own game anymore. I've played PES since PES3 and every PES has been better than any FIFA ever (but as we all know the quality of the competition it doesn't mean a lot). This year's edition is pretty much like EA has done with FIFA and NHL for years. Nothing new really. Yet the game has the normal price. I'd call PES6 more like a patch for the previous games.

Konami released PES6 in such a crappy condition I'm going to wait if the superpatch wizards can summon up something to save the Konami crew once again...

Ah that felt good...

This is the best PES for sure. Realistic gameplay, only the graphics could be next gen, but we will wait for the PES7. :jap:

We had a multiplayer tournament, 2 on 2 last night... it was the best experience ever. What's most important, it was close in results, tough, but still with just enough chances and goals, exciting until the last second of each match. I must say that I posted the similar review, on how multiplayer challenge feels in WE10, and that was a month or two ago... it was a total dissapointment. End to end stuff, with at least 5 goals a game, difficult to stop forwards and keep defence organised. Now, you realy need to do that something special to full the defence and score, and, really earn that celebration. This feels right!!!

p.s. It might not be important for most of you how the game feels in this mode, but multiplayer mode is something realy great, it is just like real football, playing with a team mate instead of playing with CPU intelligence, against two other completely different players, different styles of play, moves, it's a flare of realism, really!

Realistic? There is no jostling when the ball is in the air, Fifa which is much slated in PES forums has this. The CPU players have a force field when you initially try to challenge them ie- if you nudge the ball when they are on the ball so that is now loose, the player you control takes a step back first before you can try to obtain the ball, or if you try to make a head on challenge your player will try to go around the forcefield first. I dont remember feeling that forcefield in the last PES which I gave up as a frustration and Fifa last had that forcefield effect in Fifa 04. I think that people who say 'this is realistic', or 'this is near perfect' choose to overlook certain things. I had been playing Fifa 07 and been more satisfied with it than any other football game, but had to give this a try but think it falls short. Sure I will persevere with it for much longer as I did with PES5 last year, but unlike last year when Fifa 05 was poor, this years Fifa is very good to go back to.

Learn to respect other peoples opinions. Of course there are headers, but there is no jostling for them, fact. The ball in the air and jostling for it is a much better experience in Fifa 07. Are you one of the people so obsessed with a game you cant see its faults? I wont reply to anything else you say, just respect other peoples opinions even if you dont agree.

here we go again. niceman pimping his post count with yet another insightful and thoroughly written post ... his trick: never write more than one line. This way you can post A LOT of entries in the shortest amount of time available AND you avoid that people realize that you are actually a dumbass who has nothing worthwhile to say. Don't forget to stuff your post with AS MANY emoticons as possible so it looks like it has some substance.

nice theory, watson. there's just one catch: why should he do that? what's the benefit of having lots of posts? do you get a golden watch after 1,000 posts? if so, I'd like to know because then I'll only post stuff like this:

________

I realised the only difference between fifa and pes is that the people in the fifa forum say "feck" and the people in the pes forum say "fock".

Sorry, but when name FIFA comes up I go crazy... it's simply beyond any comparison!!! And I cann't understand how any real football fan could put FIFA arcade in front of PES!!!

O'neill
10-11-2006, 03:59:PM
Well I play them both and will continue to do so as long as I get enjoyment. This years Fifa is very, very good and I do compare them because I wish I could take the best bits from both and make one excellent game. But why do people need to convince others they shouldnt play Fifa, do you feel the need to convert everyone to your beliefs?

It's not trying to convince... but trying to stress the difference! What's a real football fan?! A videogame freak?! No! I started this thread with compliments to the makers, and there is only one team that can make a proper simulation!!!
