If this game has a training mode (it should do), I'm missing it.

Anyway, I'm having major problems heading the ball, whenever I try to put a cross in, the receiving player always tries to control it and shoot instead of heading it. I've tried both pressing the B button at the right time and mashing it madly, but to no avial.
Any tips on how to score with a header?

I have trouble heading myself. Weird thing is that in one game, I made an early cross and Ronaldo (phenomenon) headed the ball. What was even weirder was the fact that the ball landed on foot level, 1/2 a yard off the ground and instead of simply tapping it in he dove down with his head. Unfortunately I didn't score....Anyway, I'm gonna try holding down the B button way before the ball arrives to my player, mayb ethen? I hope there has to be a way. Try everything

Its just about timing......you will learn over time............if only the CPU would understand this also.

To head is logical, what you have to do is ensure you press the direction button before the shoot/head button, so when you cross the ball from any angle , always press the direction button first to whatever target/angle , then the shoot button. , it works fine for me (p.s i use zero passing assistance )

scored a goal with my goal keeper ,

Thanks, I haven't scored yet, but I'm heading it OK, sometimes the player goes for a volley when the ball is clearly 7 feet high, usually when presented with an open goal:f***:, but I seem to be doing OK.
Taking a break for a while because I might just throw my 360 out of the window if Sevilla's keeper saves one more shot while my own flounders hopelessly at simple shots. (On world class)

As stated above, it is about timing. You only need to tap the shoot button just as the ball is about to drop onto your player, also make sure you don't hold the direction away from the ball as the player sometimes steps back and controls it.

It also depends on the target players ability, the better the heading stat he has the more likely he is to head the ball, but the better the volley stat he has then he is more likely to step back and go for the volley.(eg. Peter Crouch and Luis Garcia)

I don't have much trouble with this, the only thing that annoys me at times is the inability to jostle as much as you can in current gen versions, I find that most of the time my crosses get headed back out by defenders(which is actually more realistic as this happens in most real games anyway) so it doesn't bother me that much really.

I'm still used to the current gen way of just pressing shoot as soon as I realize who its going to. I wish I could kick this habit, but 7 years of playing fifa that way won't let me..
