come on now!!I used to love those moves from 99. there was so many i didnt know what do do with them!! Know they got only 4 and "sheilding." and on the manual it says double stepover, all i see is a lateral. and when you sheild there is no lateral.

You dont know how lucky you are. The fifagames are great, but suckers like you ruin all the fun, I hate to see people like you criticize little unimportant things like the referee's shorts have the wrong color. DAmn play the game, and you will find out that it is absolutely great!!!!!

Nah... FIFA 99 sucks big time. Not the moves, but the game itself. I still think that each player should have a unique move (Pallister making a 360 spin? AHAHAHAHAH!)

forget it. i figured out how to put the team patch. a little while ago.

and i do think the moves make a big deal. thats what makes the game exciting. i agree with Alenitchev. There should be a button or something to make a player do a signature move.

Hey! People always talk about realism, but don't forget that a game is supposed to be FUN TO PLAY. EA has to balance these two things, and I personally think there's still some work to do...

You want a fun nd realistic game? Then play UEFA Champions League 99/00 and FA Premier League Stars, 2 of the best PC Soccer games ever made.

Agreed - fifa 2001 blows, 99 rocked, all they had to do was beef up the graphics and change a few gameplay glitches - now they like made it arcade soccer, with virtually no fouls, fewer tricks and a ridiculous amount of bicycle kicks.

I fail to belive that you peoplehave forgoten about FIFA 98. It was, is and, by the looks of it, will be forever the best FIFA game EA releses. All the National teams where there, and it had the right leagues (Exept the Malaysian and USA which shouldn't have been placed). FIFA 99 was okay but that game marked the downfall of FIFA series, sure I loved making 100 kit's for the teams, but I prefered having a relistic match. I'm not a great player, so I guess it kind of works for me, in FIFA 98 I play Uruguay - Argentina, and In some cases I draw or lose, while in FIFA 99 I play Canada - France and I win 7-0...

In my oppinion Fifa 99 is the best so far. but only just topping over 98...mainly coz of graphics & the game was a little smoother aswell. But i think the downfall of the FIFA series was 2000, not 99. It's true that you get unrealistic scores on 99 (even on world class) but if you play a little slower (e.g passing, build-up) the score gets more realistic. But FIFA 2k absolutely SUX... i enjoy ISS on SNES more... unfortunately i have'nt yet played the full FIFA 2001 http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif

It was impossible to score outside the penalty area, the graphics sucked and the stadiums were crap. The downfall of the series was 97.

Anyone knows where can I get a Mega Drive version of FIFA 98? I am only missing that on my collection...

Maybe you can get the 98 version at a ROMs site that supports Megadrive like One Minute Left or somethin'

MLS_hater: Thanks for your suggestion... but you see, I have all games in their original box, and I would love to close the collection with it. ROMs? Maybe, but most of them are so crappy (the emulators) that they aren't worth the trouble. I've downloaded NHL 98 and it was a pain to d/l it (site always under 1 kb), and it didn't worked.
