What efforts have you made to improve the realism of the game?
Some of the improvements that need to be made:-

Lower gameplay speed
Add linesmen, subs benches, coaches..etc
Increase size of field
More fouls called for slide tackles (improve refereeing)
Change passing mode - passing is too easy now.. make a power bar so players have to learn to control their passes. Personally i would prefer an invisible power bar to make things more difficult
Change shooting mode - do the same for shooting as you should for passing
Make keepers move forward as their team does during the game, so they can be vulnerable to long range attempts on goal. I've found it impossible to score long range goals in fifa99 and 00.
Create more realistic skill moves such as shimmies, feints and stepovers and scrap unrealistic moves such as the 360 degree spin
Make the attributes reflect more on the actual game - a low ball ctrl ability means the player cant run with the ball or perform skill moves as well
Make the player appearances more realistic - fifa2000 was too cartoonish, euro2000 was too ugly

What steps have been taken to ensure replayability?
Features that need to be added:-
Internet play over TCP/IP
A built in editor with the functions of Fed2000 - this improves gameplay for everyone so why isnt it integrated?
I would recommend EA releasing a monthly upgrade patch to update the game based on the real life football scene, but the patch makers are already very efficient
