hey there. been playing fifa for a while now, recently updated and began playing online. However since updating Fifa, I've noticed that in single player mode the game becomes a bit choppy and sluggish around the midfield area....never happened before, and doesn't happen while playing online, only single player. Any thoughts?

The update is messed? Only thing i can think of...try re-installing both the update or the game and the update?

you would be better off by NOT installing the patch. if you install it, you will not be able to edit the DB with creation master and other programs.

Maybe if you go into the data file within the Fifa directory and then into the cmn folder and make a backup of the 3 notepad files and inside the notepad files next to RENDER_RATE_MODE you will see a number, change it to 2. I found when i changed this the gameplay was much smoother, but if this doesn't work for you then put the backup notepad files back in and check your Graphics card configuration.

but when u install the ea patch what DB is it actually updating where would i locate the files/files it updates as like u say creation master/centre dont allow to update for online play but other tools ie. kit raptor monkey dragons series allow me to change things for online play
