when i play online, almost every time i get to 2 half the connection lags.
in on a 8 megabit dsl so it should be no prob.

That's why one half sometimes lags. The only solution is to make sure you play people with a strong connection (2 or 3 bars). I didn't know that one hosted one half the other the second, that might explain a few things.... Yeah its the same in match room, except in 2v2, I think the first 2 people to click 'participate' each host a half. But how can you australians play in europe server?and you ping must be more than 300(almost unplayable)???
