not sure if anyone else is havin this prob with the new patch but with every player u sign it doubles what u pay for them i paid 10mill for nani and it took 20mill off me and when u look @ the players history it says 20mill too?

for some f*ckin reason I'm coaching Portsmouth for the past 1 1/2 years now. and I had over 40 mill to spend and I only signed 3 players and (-2.3 mill) under. is that a bug? i know i didn't spend over 5 mill on each of the players....

Yes, it's a bug, and according to Cody two posts above there will be a new patch to fix that next week.

1. if i download the patch i must start a new game if i want it take effect or it chnge the saved game too?

- Co-ownership deals are now no longer always accepted after being negotiated
- Fixed rare instance of player not accepting or rejecting a contract offer
- Players are now even more less likely to accept a wage drop
- Added a few smaller contract tweaks
- Staff are now less likely to accept shorter contract lengths on the same wage

What about the match speed it is still too slow even when at its fastest setting?

I dont recommend this new patch at all. It has ruined the game in my opinion for example in my version of the game it has ruined the transfer system aswell as the tactics system.

After I installed the patch i began my game and it is stupid when trying to sign players, having to bid stupid ammounts of money for players. I tried to buy Matthew Taylor from portsmouth and had to pay £11 Million for him. Without the patch i only have to pay £7 Million. And the same with Wesley Sneijder - £10 Million (With patch), £7 Million without patch.

And when it comes to tactics well!, it seems whatever tactics you try it dont seem to make any difference to the game.

FM 2007 isn't great. Period.

no tactics work atm. you have to change them nearly every 4 games!

Is there still a contract bug as I'm sure I've got the latest patch yet I've just had the annual 'these contracts need renewing' message and only 2 of about 10 of the players with expiring contracts come up. If I try and renew the others I get an error message (can't remember what it says) and when the contract screen comes up the player/coach field is blank and greyed out and the bonus/clause fields are completely gone and the player wants a contract worth £0 a week. Whilst I'm all for lowering my wage budget it is starting to piss me off as I'm worried I'm going to lose some key players because of it.

Any ideas if and when a 7.0.2 patch will be released? And how do you delete a database? Coz i edited the 7.0.1 database give west ham a new chairman (eggert magnusson) and an £85m bank balance (from takeover bid) and it wouldn't overwrite the 7.0.1 database. So I named it exactly the same in each box as SI Games' 7.0.1 database hoping it would overwrite it but it didn't. So there are two 7.0.1s with the same name and I can't delete the one I made.

I think I know what you're talking about, has been in the game since FM05 I think. I didnt have problems with it this version yet, but it very rarely happened to me on FM06, just withdraw your offer and offer again, that always worked for me. (although it was quite annoying when it happened to a player you made a bid for, you would have to start negotiations with the club again...
