I keep on scoring long range screamers while I nearly always fail to score from close range. Anybody else facing that problem? I never encountered such a problem in previous versions of PES/WE. I get around 16-20 shots per match from which 10+ are decent chances and only manage to score 0-2 goals which are either long range shots or from set pieces.

I find in Pro 6, hitting the technique button, and the shoot button from inside the box produce better results.

No, realife its easier to score or hit the target from close range than distance.

Yea, this happens to me too. It seems like its much easier to score from outside the box than from inside via a one-on-one (contrary to real life). Konami screwed this up in pes6...as you dont feel like you earned you goals anymore. The chances that should be going in are not (prime 1v1s), while shots from way outside the box seem to float in.

I think u have to get used to the new gameplay...if u learn to master R2 + shot and try to angle ur body position to goal it will get much better... :lui: (C)

Thanks. I've never been aware of this issue before.
But honestly I didn't see anything wrong with the "old" system. Do you all think that this new system is a good forward step from Konami?

Well I see some are happy with it and good for them but as I say, its strange that its easier to put your shot on target from distance and they complicated it closer to the goal. Each to whatever you prefer I supose as you can go back to PES5 or play FIFA07 which I am happily doing when I am not playing PES6 against my mates who prefer it. But even they agree the shooting has been overcomplicated in this version.
