These guys simply can't miss on the bicycle kick!

Granted I haven't played organized soccer since I was a first year high school student, but I remember it being kind of difficult to even connect on bicycle kicks, let alone direct them into the side of the net. Maybe they should miss sometimes? Either the ball or the goal.

Also, when they execute them they usually end up bumping defenders out of the way-- don't you get a penalty for kicking too high with people's heads nearby?

Anyway, its hard not to abuse, but its incredibly easy to score on crosses, corner kicks, and even throw-ins from the side by just lobbing it in there and pressing shoot repeatedly.

I noticed this in Amateur mode....try going to professional. I don't know if it's still the same, but possession is much, much harder on professional mode. I was getting goals left and right on amatuer, with bicycles kicks, headers, and anything else you can imagine, scoring at will on amateur mode, I'm having a hard time keeping the ball on professional. In professional mode though, I think there's a bigger bug....the computer teamm will outrun any of your guys, even if they have speed of 7 and you're using sprint. EA need to work on a couple things, imo, the most important is a more gradual curve in the modes http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif If anyone can actually do a bicycle kick in Pro mode, is it the same as ameteur mode or do you have to aim it?

actually i was playing in pro mode. but it becomes a lot more difficult in all-star mode, as i found out after the post. the goalie actually (correctly) comes out and grabs/hits the ball.

You can catch up to the other guys but you have to run straight ahead to do it, then turn at quick angles to get into postition. I think they did it deliberately to prevent people from holding onto the ball with one player.
