View Full Version : Euro 2016 Norway and Sweden..?
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 03:40:PM What do you guys think about that?
Its not 100% sure yet, its up to the Norwegian Football guys to say yes to Sweden.
The final will be in Nya Ullevi - Gøteborg/Gothenburg. Like in 1992, when Denmark won.

SouthAfrica fan 13-12-2006, 04:11:PM wow 2016, thats 10 years away, has the 2012 event even been decided yet?
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 04:20:PM No. That will be decided in 2008.
In 2010 we know its Norway / Sweden or other. Right now we its the only who have search.
Spain will maybe be 2012.
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 04:22:PM I want to add something. The reason this thing its up now its because in Norway need to build four big stadiums. The biggest in Norway its Ullevall with 25.000
Soon Rosenborgs arena (lerkendal) have 30.000, and in 2010 will Vålerenga have own stadium I think.
The two others will be in Bergen, and Stavanger.. If not stavanger, it will build two big in Oslo.
SouthAfrica fan 13-12-2006, 04:35:PM funny you should say that because we only have four years to build several stadiums for the world cup in 2010. a stadium only needs about four years to be built, just look at arsenals new stadium it is amazing and didn't take too many years to build
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 05:35:PM But we have not much money to football.. So the state have to join, therefor this will take time.

unless the FA is in charge, just look at wembley stadium ;)
SouthAfrica fan 13-12-2006, 06:19:PM oh right my bad, our football board are paying parreira R1.8mil a month not icluding tax of 14% which is unbelievable
::shinji:: 13-12-2006, 06:50:PM too many joint hostings these days, I don't get why a country like either Sweden or Norway can't host something like that on their own. If Portugal could do it...

I totally agree, I think its FIFA's way of keeping everybody happy in a scense that everybody gets a piece of hosting an event even if its only half
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 07:30:PM Because its not cheap to have things like these.. in Norway we almost not use money on football.. :/
And Norway / Sweden its like one country. They are close, and its not far away between the stadiums. Just look at South Korea and Japan, and netherland belgium...
Norway have never had something like this, its good to start with a partner.
Biebrich 02 13-12-2006, 07:59:PM i have never ever seen a single post from you that did not contain the word "norway" :funny:
Hepoas 13-12-2006, 07:59:PM Haha. Im patriotic.. Isn't that we call it?
Biebrich 02 13-12-2006, 09:58:PM well, norway IS a beautiful land...
by the way, the first national team match i have ever seen was in ullevaal.
d3adly 14-12-2006, 12:30:AM unless the FA is in charge, just look at wembley stadium ;)
and still isn't done, though should be ready for the fa cup final.
