Fifa 2001 really sucks, every time when I'm playing, Fifa 2001 stops running at the end of each game. My system is hanging and I need to restart every time. I can't play more than one game. My system configuration is the following : PIII600MHz, 128MB SDRAM, 2xAGP 8MB, Windows Me, DirectX 8.0. In the map support the program calls FIFA 2001 EZ gives the following info in the tab requirements : OS found = Windows 98 instead of Windows95/98 with a red cross, processor found : Coppermine 3MHz instead of Pentium 166MHz with a red cross, DirectX found 7.0 instead of 7.0a with a red cross.
Very strange for a system which meets without any problem the minimum system requirements ?!? Can anyone help me with this problem please ?

My humble opinion is that the Direct X is causing lots of probs to alot of fifa2001 gamers http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif

try taking that away

Ok, I followed an advice an cancelled all pending background jobs except Explorer and systray. The game doesn't crash anymore when I'm playing alone (I tried for two days, let us hope http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif ), so that's fine. But now the ******* game crashes everytime when I'm playing via internet (Multiplayer modus). Has anyone a solution ???

Three things:

1. Fifa 2001 runs (probably) on every Windows (I didn't check XP, though)
2. When I installed Dx8 on my WinMe.. Fifa 2001 started to crash.. even though I have got a Geforce 4 !
3. If you want to run it on Win2k, install it in full version (370Megs or so)
