Sorry for blasting the forum with posts but here's a video of PS2's Fifa game....I got it from IGN, you can read the preview - they say this is actual in-game footage, but I don't believe that....even so...Fifa2000 was beautiful but it still played like a dog....but here's hoping anyway
(I am such a gullable fool)

It looks like the polygon pushing PS2 is allowing EA Sports to have individual jersey's for each team!!!!

Yeah, but we still don't know if that's FMV, and most importantly we don't know how it'll play...
Btw, I've watched that clip 10 times already, and have u noticed that even with all that detail (supposing it is ACTUAL in game graphics) the players STILL DON'T HAVE THEIR NAMES ON THE BACK OF THE SHIRTS!!!!!
Sing it Don, "Something will never change...."
It looks good but EA will have to really EARN my purchasing interest this time; I'm far more excited about ISS PS2 and the TIF2 game announced.
Sorry, but they've been releasing a lot of screenshots of new PS2 games at Gamespot.com - check them out, this game; "The Getaway" looks incredible:

Do you realize how difficult and time consuming it would be to create names on the back of the shirts with all the clubs and players?
It is possible because I beleive that their football games and basketball games have it, or is it some other companies game?
I doubt it if this ever happens

Have you ever played CM99/00, do you know how time consuming it is to research all those tens of thousands of players (and I mean TENS OF THOUSANDS - U want to know the actual roster for Huntly? The Winnipeg Fury? Sh!t they even have teams in Singapore and China) - to get their birthdates, histories, and best of all their abilities - u see that post Paolo_Rossi put up about Athirson Mazolli de Oliveira possibly going to Juventus - I never heard of this guy until I played CM99/00 and in the game (I'm at 2008) he's at Fiorentina and one of the best striker's in the world - I never even heard of him - that's scouting - and this is from a much much much smaller company, so don't tell me a HUGE company like EA that gets a sh!t load of money (because Fifa is the number one selling sports game) can't take the time to put names on the back of shirts - plus as their employee said they have a large team. If they can't do that, if they can't bother to make the pitch large, to fix the speed, to make the game more realistic then I can't be bothered to buy that cr@p - sorry, I'm not going to pity a large corporation that stresses non-interaction with their hardcore fans, that doesn't listen to their fans.
I'm a fool for supporting EA - I knew when I dl the demo for Fifa2000 that it wasn't good, deep down inside I knew that the pitch size was small, that it was like pinball, but yet again I HOPED that it wouldn't be like that. Then I head about all these guys who got the warez versions about no stadium select - but still I hoped - I thought because they made Fifa98 RTWC and WC98 perhaps the full version would be ok. Well I was wrong, and I lost my $60, that's the last dollar I spend on EA Sports because of their reputation, now they have to earn it. No more Chau Lee or the rest doing EA's work for them, I love those hardcore fans that make the patches and editors - but they deserve my money, not EA, because they care, and they have a passion for what they do.

Fifa fanatic mate, you just need some simple code which tells the computer to print names onto the shirts. Microsoft do it (even with your custom names, so it's not individually rendered on each shirt), Eidos do it, heh even educated fleas do it... ;-)

EA Sports just simply appears to be lazy, and there is nothing else to it...

The funny thing about the movie is that all it shows is the players walking into the pitch, stretching and raising hands.
And dont forget about all the wonderfull FIFA2k shots showing lines man and a lot of stuff that never maid to the game.

This is the PS2 though, the most powerful piece of gaming hardware on the face of the planet (that actually exists, X-Box is only on paper right now)...they can do anything on this system!!!

They can do anything with the PC and look how FIFA2k turned out.
A game doesnt need to have great grafix to be a great game, it needs gameplay and that Ea havent been able to deliver in their last game.
