I am getting bored with FIFA 2001 now after only weeks of playing.

85% of my goals are scoreed in the very similar pattern. Starting in the middle field, pass the ball the the left or right wing, sprint and run all the way along sideline then feed a high ball to the middle and my striker will score the goal with the bicycle kick. 5% the ball will get intercepted at the side line, and other 5% the goalie gets the ball before the striker does. 90% of time it's a goal.

Any other easy way to get you goal scored?

Give the ball to your keeper and let him go all the way. It even works in World Class Mode... Ouch...

Doesn't it defeat the purpose to play it like a video game, instead of a game of football? Try switching to the tower game, on slow and world class, and playing with a proper buildup instead of using the same play over and over. You'd be amazed at how realistic the players' tactical movements are in this game compared to earlier editions. They'll run into open space much more often and you can string together 10 or more passes before putting someone through on goal. You can also nail them from several yards outside the box if you have a good shooter and good timing on the power button.
