Rochdale, Wycombe, Lincoln, Bury.

Few there who tend to be mid-table teams, giving you something to build on.

Barnet, just cause I know they have/used to have a ''funny'' chairman

Well I was MK Dons, Rochdale and Chester City.

I thought I did well with these teams.

mk dons, you soon get a handy financial status as you move into the new 30,000 seater stadium in your second season, and the prospect of the stadium can attract say, championship players

Could you please type proper English? You're kind of hard to follow for people who don't know English that well, let alone text-speak.

Barnet. 2nd best team in London apart from Arsenal. It's just that no-one knows it yet.

What else than the world's oldest club, Notts County.

I've now taken them to Championship and not doing too badly, just beat Wolves 6-0 and Leeds 1-0 with 10 men for most of the second half. If you choose them, make sure you play Liam Needham as a ML or AML, he has poor stats but on the pitch he's a monster on that level, the only player from my original squad that can still cut it in the Champ. Fans player of the year twice in a row and 13 goals in League 1 last season despite being rotated a fair share.

They have no transfer budget for the first season though, but I think loans are the way to go anyway if you're aiming promotion. Also I'm impressed by the scouting system in FM 2007, I actually have no need to use the player search function anymore. Found a few really great ones thanks to my scouts.

Just a bit. Slightly OTT for McLeod but has 26 league goals in 29 apps on mine, I'm on fire now (with Dons), I shall start uploading screens of my achievements onto the screenshot show-off forum.

Start with MK dons you can attract(with promotion) all the Southampton rejects. i.e K. Jones and you have the class of Gareth Edds

I had a go with Walsall because of their links with Manchester United :p . They also have a link with Everton. Had a bloody difficult start with 2 wins from 10 and I had to win the league. I got a run together but the team was inconsistent with the victories. I drew a lot and lost about 7 games in the league all season. But the teams around me was inconsistent as well. I acheived automatic promotion with a points tally of 82 or so and I missed out on the title on goal difference. Doing well in League One but slumped to mid table after a great start to the season. Everyone expecting us to go down.
