hi ..i was wondering if the announcers say the player names a lot....i downloaded the wares version of the game ..cuz i couldnt wait to buy it ......( i will probably buy it now that it has come out).. ive been playing the games for a couple of days now and i havent heard the players name mentioned at all......like roy keane can do a nice tackle or get a card and they never say his name......any ideas? are some of my files messed up? do people think if i buy it that the names will be said? thanks for any help.

Whenever i make a pass the commentators will say the name. They say the names more often than they say it on fifa 2000 and euro 2000. Hope this helps. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

There are 3372 names in this version compared to 1844 names in FIFA2000. Most players in the more popular leagues would have their name commentated.

hey ice boy .....are u being snotty to me? maybe its the writing...but i dont need to be told to buy the game....cuz ive always supported the game and i have every version of fifa on sega genesis, sega cd ,nintendo 64, and the pc .....so im hoping no one thinks i just dl games for free and never buy them....the only reason why i dled it is cuz i couldnt wait any longer to play the damn thing.....heh heh heh.....

Sorry if i made you feel that way, i just wanted to help. I wanted everyone to buy the game because it is a great game. If you've noticed, i made many screenshots for everyone as i hoped they would buy the game so that EaSports can have enough money to buy all the lisences, put every league and national teams in, and make a great fifa 2002 for us.

I think you will find the Player.str file is not in the commentary add on for the warez version, but its probably out there in warez land. You will find that they are there in the full version.
