While I'm waiting for my Fifa 2001 PC copy I decided to rent out ISS...

After 3 hours I already mastered with winning games at 4-0... at top level...

The graphics are poor and when the players run they seem to have something up there buts...

The gameplay, well after reading post after post about this so-called game play I'm a bit disappointed!!! master the same attacking move with 3 strikers and the game is already a total bore...
I changed my stratigy every 2 games and realized that the players are not like fifa with the ball a magnet to them but this time round the players a magnet to the ball... yes sounds better but still off the mark of realism... To me both Fifa and ISS should leave the ball on its own...

Another thing about ISS is the mega ease one can dribble the big clubs defence and leave the keeper flat footed... this can give a goal 9 out of 10 with practice... but then will lead you into boredom...

Pro's: the fact that the ball does'nt always end up to the player like a magnet...
Can score from free kicks...

Cons: The terrible graphics...
Game play and goals easy to master...
The computers team defence is too weak...

Overall the game is probably one of the best football games out there... but compared to Fifa to me it's no chance...

this is my opinion so please don't insult and use stupid remarks for expressing my opinion...

On the HARDEST setting?

If you're talking about ISS PE, you are either

a)a liar

or

b)the best videogamer in the world

Point: Just sharing my opinion since seeing how most bragged about it being the greatest football around... and yes they bragged about it here on a Fifa 2001 forum...

A Liar: No, bestgamer not yet... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif but I do reveiws for several games for friend of mine whom works at a PC gaming magazine...

Remember one thing... soccer games will never be perfect as they will always carry repetitive codes of individual players...
Just figure out a certain pattern in the field or playmake movement and you'll always have the same goals without the PC doing anything about it...

For example in Fifa 2000... if you play with a complete flat 3-4-3 formation, when your centre midfielders get the pass the ball to the centre striker it's goal 99% of the time... and can even riot a 8 minute game 15-0 with that same play...

And now going back to my above statement unfortunatly ISS has that same fault...

what version of ISS were you playing?
if it was ISS Pro 98 (Winning Eleven 3) and ISS Pro evolution (Winning Eleven 4) on the playstation, i'd disagree...(my opinion)
but if it was ISS 64 (Perfect Striker), ISS 98 (Jikkyou World Soccer) or ISS 2000 on the n64, i'd agree with you that you can easily run past the defenders and fake the keeper even on the hardest setting!

I DOUBT THIS IS ISS PRO EVO
although this general statement is correct..as games r made by humans..so if u r smart enough u can.... the game isn't that tough..but it's just harder than fifa..and more diverse..

Listen mate, you'd better pull your head out of your ass, because fifa 2001 is no way in comparison to ISS, and regarding your complaints of ISS, I think you've got your hand on the wrong joystick mate, so stop being a wanker and come back to reality, you're a dead-set drop-kick.

Dont get all mad people, the guy is just giving his opinion after hearing so much braging about the game.
If you just like ISS so much better than fifa why are you in this forum wining about it??
