How do I set pieces or change my "in game managment" with a Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad Pro (no select button).

To change assignment (you will lose the start function btw) copy the config.dat file into your user directory.
Then edit it, you will find a reference in the control list for your pad..like this:
"Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad Pro" 9 "Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad" 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Reverse the last two so it looks like this:
"Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad Pro" 9 "Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad" 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10 9
ie swapping buttons 9 and 10. This makes the select button act as IGM...hope this helps.
