i think Chris Kirkland cost nearer to £6.5mil than £9mil, but thats just what i heard....

the squad number for both players has not been announce yet... so we will have to wait until next week then...

hmm, a lot of mixed reports flying around - from what i can make out chris kirkland is definately a liverpool player now and jerzy dudek has agreed a deal from the reds and there were some glitches in him medical - but i think on appeal he will still be allowed to play in the first group stage of the champions league 'cause he had to go and play for poland and so on and so forth, so the deal is probably not totally off.

but who the hell knows whats going on - sander westerveld seems to think both have signed and is now said to be the colour of his teams jerseys :D

I doubt Dudek would get the #1 jersey because it is still registered as that of Westerveld until the end of the season, even if he leaves beforehand.

I can't remember the exact rules but I think the squad numbers list is given by the clubs to the FA and if memory serves me rightly, clubs can't change squad numbers of players during the season, unless one player has left and so his squad number is vacant for the new player. Westerveld is still a Liverpool player for now, and so still has #1.

Also bringing in Chris Kirkland asks yet another question - is Arphexad their reserve keeper also on his way out?
