Ok so this will kick-off the wednesday at 5:00pm time of Argentina.

Who did the hell France call for this match?

Here's Argentina's list.

Keepers
Roberto Abbondanzieri (Getafe, Spain)
Leonardo Franco (Atlético de Madrid, Spain)

Defenders
Roberto Ayala (Valencia CF, Spain)
Gabriel Milito (Real Zaragoza, Spain)
Nicolás Burdisso (Inter Milan, Italy)
Gabriel Heinze (Manchester United FC, England)
Javier Zanetti (Inter Milan, Italy)
Fabricio Fuentes (Villarreal CF, Spain)
Rodolfo Arruabarrena (Villarrreal CF, Spain)

Midfielders
Fernando Gago (Real Madrid CF, Spain)
Aldo Duscher (RC Deportivo La Coruña, Spain) - Out due an injury.
Esteban Cambiasso (Inter Milan, Italy)
Luis González (FC Porto, Portugal)
Leandro Somoza (Villarreal CF, Spain)
Pablo Aimar (Real Zaragoza, Spain) - Out due an injury.
Jonás Gutiérrez (RCD Mallorca, Spain)

Forwards
Javier Saviola (FC Barcelona, Spain)
Sergio Agüero (Atlético de Madrid, Spain)
Diego Milito (Real Zaragoza, Spain)
Hernán Crespo (Inter Milan, Italy)
Lisandro López (FC Porto, Portugal)

Well seeing as some of these don't give a damn about the national team, some know that they were called because they had to call someone and some know they will have some chances in the future but they are a minority in this group and that they will probably have only one training before the match i think France will win at least 7-0.:jambo:

Riquelme resigned to the national team in October, plus with his present situation on Villarreal pretty much puts him down to get a call(same with Mascherano and Tevez).

In Argentina the match will be broadcasted by TyC Sports, as usual.

Pretty much if the situation with the domestic club managers and the national team priority doesn't change by March then we may as well remember that "there once was a national team of Argentina..."

what kind of a striker is Lisandro?

and damn French coach, when is he gonna call Gourcuff? :(

Lisandro likes to wander around the attack, he usually occupies one of the wings at Porto but appears a lot in the middle to finish or to support the striker.
He used to play as a lone striker or just behind the striker back in Argentina.

2-0 argentina, Lucho and Lisandro(H)
that'd be nice (H)

Any new regarding France, the possible line-up or anything? I just heard Thuram won't play and that are is a couple of players out due injury.

Possible starting 11 for Argentina.

-----------Abbondanzieri
-
---------Ayala-----G. Milito
----Burdisso-----------Arruabarrena
-
--Zanetti--Gago--Cambiasso--L. Gonzalez
-
--------Saviola-----Crespo

Other says it could be some kind of 4-3-3.

-----------Abbondanzieri
-
---------Ayala-----G. Milito
----Burdisso-----------Arruabarrena
-
--Zanetti--Cambiasso--L. Gonzalez
-
---------------------------Agüero
-----Saviola-----Crespo

Another possible which was mentioned yesterday, but the less probable, the classic 4-3-1-2 of Argentina.

---------Ayala-----G. Milito
----Burdisso-----------Arruabarrena
-
---Zanetti--Somoza--Cambiasso
-----J. Guttierrez/L. Gonzalez
-
-------Saviola-----Crespo

Well, full time Argentina won 1-0.

Probably some would say that it wasn't that "Argentina played better than France", but that "France played worse than Argentina" which maybe would be more accurate.

Argentina was somewhat cautious in the midfield, and was pretty much solid in defense, either G. Milito or Cambiasso were the man of the match. Now, what's wrong with France and crosses? They couldn't make any single cross right:confused:, besides some abuse of the long ball, Henry couldn't do too much he didn't really get many balls, and most of the time he would lose them with Ayala and Trezeguet was horrible, Anelka played a better but still not good enough.

Crespo... Now one of the worst matches of Crespo i have seen, he wasted many balls on attack he hardly did anything more likely Agüero or D. Milito should've started on his place. Good match of Gago, he didn't do anything amazing but did good, same with Jonas Gutierrez, he didn't get many balls but they always had troubles to steal the ball from him. Zanetti didn't play bad, however he didn't play on his usual position, but he didn't do as good as he could same with Lucho Gonzalez. Saviola had a good match be he can still do better, maybe if he had someone alongside him and not just Crespo.:nape:

yeah, I was kind of shocked he didn't shine @ Real Madrid.

luckyly, Inter got him for free & he's a regular starter mostly. :$

good win for Argentina.

Important win...

We needed this, after losing against Brazil (0-3) and Spain (1-2)...

Milito, Cambiasso and Saviola were the best...

Good debut from Gago...he show his talent.

Ayala is a warrior. 107 games with our NT, and he plays every game with a lot of spirit.

Good thing we still have experienced players like Ayala and Zanetti that are willing to play for the national team anyday.:)

Many usually question "who will be able to replace Ayala?" but it seems Gaby Milito can replace him anyday.:D

Good match for players other players like Cambiasso, Saviola and Gago to gain confidence at the national team.

Too bad Agüero and Jonas didn't get to play some more. With some of these players and other players from the domestic clubs, i guess we will have a promising team for the Copa América.:D

i knew like weeks before the match we weren't gonna win this, Titi is still not 100% percent from his injury, Treze plays serie b, what i wanted to see was Mexes and he was injured,

it's a pity how barcelona is killing Tutu, you cannot buy a player like Thuram to keep him on the bench, and i'm sorry but Tutu is a far better defender than either marques or puyol.
