Here is a correction. Real signed him for £42 and it's 64.5 million dollars US!!! Well, probably Real wants to be a record holder for a long time. Next season, maybe they will sign someone for $70 million!!!

They will not be able to keep up at this pace while in such a debt for very long. They are treading on thin ice right now, with their financial situation. They might be able to stay on top for a little while, but if they keep adding more and more financial weight the ice will break right beneath their own feet.

Just wait and see...

On the other hand, Manchester United has the money to be able to buy the players they want. They are going to have a real battle to see who gets in the lineup in the center of their midfield. It will be a very interesting season to follow.

Can't stop the rush...

Zidane is a great player but for those figures???!!
I think it's f*cking ridiculous if you ask me, he's going to earn a million bucks every month. Come on that's crazy and he's good but is he worth that much money???
Real better should've bought two players for that kind a money, a midfielder and a defender or something. Zidane is NOT god although he likes to think he is.
The debts Real have will grow and grow when you buy players for that amount of money.

In a stark contrast, its a brilliant deal for Juve! Zidane's 29, and has probably passed the best years of his career, and they sell him for that ridiculous price!

The payments for the transfer is over 3 years apparently.so with interest with works out to be 45 million pounds, but only 15 million pounds per season which is less then what Man U payed for Van Nistlerooy.

No player is worth that much. 70 mil € is a complete madness... Zidane is already 29, and like I've said before - I doubt he and Figo are compatible...

48 million quid is way too much money, no player is worth 48 million, nowadays football is business though...
