Hope i made the title right, anyway I wanted to start a thread up for this match coming up today. Should be a scrappy battle considering most of our better players will be rested for the upcoming weekend matches. I say we pull it out, 1-0.

I'm guessing that we'll perform much better than the previous 2 matches and own them 3-0 or 3-1 on their own ground. :) (or better: :()

I think not. We'll probably play our second string, and Reading are great at home.

27-02-2007, 09:31:PM
i didnt see the first bikey incident, but would be funny if he was booked twice, like Graham Poll at the world cup.

Maybe the TV cameras got it wrong.

On comes Ronaldo :D:D

Help?
27-02-2007, 09:33:PM
The commentators, the websites everybody said that Bikey was booked in the first half, but apparently it was De La Cruz. Looked like Bikey to me as well.

matt.fever
27-02-2007, 09:34:PM

 A very damn good game. would have love to see it go to extra time. Reading are amazing

Yeah, sounds like United. Get it easy and then make it as hard as possible for some adrenaline rush. Our players are too extraverted.

Got too cocky. Dallying on the ball, making stupid passes, and being selfish in other places. The whole midfield deserves to be lined up and shot.

(Y)

First 6 minutes was amazing, rest of the first half was alright, second half was shocking. I think the defence was almost equally as poor as the midfield - having no one on the far post for the first goal was absolutely stupid and some of the clearances were appalling.

Fletch, O'Shea and Richardson haven't been good enough for a long time now and should be got rid of and even Park, who looked promising when he arrived, looked out of his depth for most of the game.

Even Park? I think he's been performing extremely well so far.

God, so frustrating to watch. I stand by not having O'Shea and Fletcher in the same team, all they do is pass to each other

Help?

and even Park, who looked promising when he arrived, looked out of his depth for most of the game.

Hell no man. Park was all over the pitch yesteday. He did as many clearances from the box as any other defender out there. And he actually would keep the ball away from Reading when in his own half, unlike the other 3 mids we had. Selling Park would be very stupid, he always gives everything and actually has great skill compared to our other back-up players. He is not starting eleven material yet, but for a back-up, there aren't many teams that wouldn't want him on the bench.

I think its time to get rid of Fletcher and Richardson and possibly Silvestre, and use the money to get Hargreaves, a left winger (Possibly Matthew Taylor or Frank Ribery) and a defender (Perhaps Vincent Kompany)

well i came home to late to see the start ,played 10 min when i turned on the tv (:/)
so i missed the good stuff!
but i got to see the bad stuff: poor defending and sloppy play and last Fletcherson's
but we won and that's all that matters!

stop playing FM. Why would we need Kompany? We have Jonny Evans coming through the ranks who looks a quality player, along with pique if he comes back. Kompany is just a name anyway, i'm sure i heard he wasn't exactly setting the world alight in germany. Taylor and Ribery aren't exactly left wingers either.

We need a quality striker, saha isn't consitant enough, and we also need to add depth to the centre of midfield.

even Oster and Little make great backups for united compared to oshea and fletch... they completely ruin our midfield.
