Are the valencia players always a bunch of diving twats? No disrespect or anything but watching the whole game and seeing them fall to the ground by no contact or barely any contact and falling to the ground screaming for a few seconds. Then they miraclesly get up like if nothing happen to take the foul.

Zlatan really impressed me throughout the whole game. IMO these 2 teams were evenly matched. Abidol (sp?) the defender for Valencia wow was a wall he was.

Did you see them going at it in the tunnel? Everyone was swinging their arms left, right and centre...class...:mexican:

Yes they are, at least when they had the lead they fall as if every touch is a bullet hitting them, although that is how most teams in La liga are. But they are a very solid team and Albiol is a great defender and young aswell.

NottsSupporter - Yea I saw that, both teams going in to the tunnel still fighting.(H)

Agree, btw just saw the video again. Looks like it started after Joaquin and Burdisso went at it, than Navarro hits Burdisso which breaks his nose ( accorind to Sky Sports News aleast ) than the Inter players continue fighting even in Valencia dressing room...if anyone gets punished it will be Inter that gets it most.

They'd find a way to lose to Rangers.

Remember when they were going to "show Arsenal real football" and lost 5-1 at home to an Arsenal team which had Cygan in it and Ray Parlour at right back?

They made Kanu look like Pele and Maradona had fused to become a tall black man.

Whoops my bad, it was Marchena. LMAO at Navarro though, what a bitch. Hit the guy than run for your life. Wonder how UEFA will handle this, it was really crazy when they showed the Inter player's going into Valencia locker room still fighting.

The Nerazzurri were already on a warning from UEFA after the 2005 derby with Milan was abandoned due to the fans throwing flares on to the pitch, one of which struck goalkeeper Nelson Dida.

They had to play their first four home games behind closed doors this season and were handed a record £132,000 fine, but this latest incident will bring back calls for the club to be expelled.

It is still not entirely clear what started the melee in Valencia, but at the final whistle Nicolas Andre Burdisso entered into an argument with Carlos Marchena.

As teammates were pulling them apart, David Navarro came off the bench and threw a punch at Burdisso that fractured the Argentine’s nose.

This sparked a furious reaction, as Julio Ricardo Cruz, Ivan Cordoba and Douglas Maicon chased Navarro across the pitch.

He was spotted on camera running back down the players’ tunnel with a smile on his face and this further angered the Nerazzurri players.

It is now emerging that the brawl continued inside the arena, as Francesco Toldo dived in to the Valencia locker room to reach Navarro and Esteban Cambiasso and Luis Figo tried to force their way in after him.

The security forces had to intervene and Coach Roberto Mancini was seen trying to lead his men away, but the situation had degenerated to such a degree that there was little he could do.

After the chaos had died down, Inter confirm that Valencia director of sport Amedeo Carboni went to personally offer his apology to his Nerazzurri counterpart Ernesto Paolillo for Navarro’s behaviour.

Inter President Massimo Moratti has told the media that a UEFA representative came into the locker room to speak with Burdisso and evaluate the situation.

Thankfully, there was no crowd trouble between fans, but the Inter team bus was pelted with rocks as it parked outside the Mestalla.

haha Inter, the "honest" team of Italy (H)

but Navarro? wtf? he punched, ran away and was smiling. as much as I hate Inter, thats an assman right there!

Don't say this to David Navarro. He is a very very good guy. The first player started the fight was a Inter player by hitting Marchena.
Then Navarro was angry about that and he decided to blow Burdisso's nose. This morning he was at Valencia saying that he is very regretful about he did. He is gonna to apologize Burdisso.

Thats how football is... Valencia played a good style against Inter, they were positioned well in the field.

Navarro is a huge pussy. Atleast stand up for what you've done and act like a man, instead of running away like a b!tch. The inter players could have run after him for longer but they felt sorry for him...

A pussy? Then all italian football is a pussy for all his backgrounds? Italian football has always been "famous" for his way to play in the field. Always arguing with everybody, always starting fires on matches. And now they wanna "clean" the image with this? Why don't we speak about Materazzi??? He is the icon for Inter, and THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT IT. Materazzi is the most crazy, dirty, underhand and nasty player at the moment... My opinion about it, Navarro, Burdisso, Cordoba and Marchena must be penalized, but this is an strategy for inter to get campaign trying to win what they lose on field. They were too much proud about his possibilities, I was saying this a few weeks ago. did you see Navarro's eye? Look at this -> http://www.marca.com/ficheros/marca/imagenes/navarro070307_ES.jpg It was Toldo's hand.

If you want to see playing football unfairly, see the italian league, then talk about isolated events like this.

UEFA said it would now ask world football’s governing body FIFA to extend the suspension imposed on Navarro to international level so that it also applies to any football competitions - including domestic leagues and national-team fixtures - on top of UEFA club competition matches.

Are you sure Valencia can't win Chelsea? Are you completely sure? lol

Navarro is paying a high price for all this. Completely absurd, I remember Cantona and many other players doing the same of worst things and not having so high penalties.

Navarro was a mad that day, but he is paying for all the "bad things" in football. Imagine Ronaldinho, Raul, etc, etc doing the same...do you thing they could be banned for 7 months?
