Just found out that Peter Schmeichel has signed for Aston Villa. Whilst I don't follow Villa (I'm a United fan) I want to take this opportunity to wish him all the best, after all he's done for our club United,(duh) it's the least he deserves.

I think its great news. Im not a Villa Fan either but he's a class act and its great to have him back in the premiership.

That's great to see him back in England, but i dunno why Aston Villa bought him? They got James. And schmeichel is not such a great golie, as he was 2 years ago. He sux now, but he is old and he did everything to be such a great goalkepeer as him. I don't think that he will be in first team. He should better try Manager job.

The man is a fantastic goalkeeper but I thought he would retire after last season?
Anyway, it will be strange to see him defend the Villa colors but it's great to see him at work again in the EPL :D
Maybe we will hear once again: "oooh, the big goalie is coming up!"
I've read that he signed for 1 season, after that Villa will replace him for another goalkeeper.

David JAMES signed for West Ham only yesterday !!! so that's what I call quick moving by Villa
I'm defenetly not a Man United fan, but I would also like to say all the best to him, and i'll think he'll do greatfor Villa coz age doesn't matter especially when you'r a GK and especially if you're Peter Schmeichel.
And as John Gregory said, "Peter wouldn't have come back to England if he knew he couldn't do the job ...
