can you tell me how the game is genrally please ?

It's not that bad actually. No shootbar, and the game is purely arcade-like, but it's alright if you want a quick arcade game, but still not as good as Fifa WC 98 or Fifa: RTWC 98.

When you say arcade like - have they not also slowed the play down like in the PC version. Also are the kits correct and detailed and can you edit like previous editions.
To be honest my hopes are not high for the PSX version - it seems with it getting outdated with the likes of PSX2 that EA don't seem to care to really produce the goods for the granddaddy PSX.

It's slow like the PC version, but it's still Fifa so at heart it's an arcade game.

Call me crazy, but I like the PSX version a lot more than the PC one.

Ok ,so i got it for PS yesterday (friday 3rd)
and have bee playing for several hours now.....here's what i think...


ITS SLOW,this is a major bummer.I have it on fastest and its much slower than Fifa 2k ........i think they spoilt the whole thing by doing this.I understand PC version has a device where you can speed things up even more??? If so why isn't it on PS?

MOVING CROWDS, ditto.

Basically this is the same as Fifa 2k but its been made prettier to sell copies,i cant belive the speed,its so poor and the way the play slows when in crowded situations is abismal.
Dont get me wrong here,i'm a very big fan of FIFA and have got pretty much all the games and would defend them against ISS anytime but this isn't up to scatch,i expected so much more for a years so called hard proggramming!.Maybe its like you say EA dont give a **** bout the grandaddy no more because of PS2,hell the TV add for the game is purely PS2 screens

its true, i read htis site and according to them the psx screenshots showed flags in the crowd, linesmen and they also said that there wasn't going to be a brazilian league but a korean league instead. but when i turn on thew game there is no korean league but there is an unplayable brazilian season. what the **** happened. The speed is slow but after a few hours of playing it on 'normal' it was ok. to be honest it isn't that great but i think its the best one out.
