I've read in the Dutch newspapers that it's almost a certainty that Zenden will go to Newcastle United and is about to leave Barcelona. I personally think that he's an asset for the EPL and Newcastle in general!
If I were Barca, I never would let him leave that's for sure.
He was very important last season for them and he's always a keyplayer for the Dutch national team.
We'll see how this will develop further.

Lets hope we get him soon, as he would do great things st Newcastle.

it would be great to get Zenden, that's just what we need he quick and skillfull left winger. With Solano on the right and Speed and Dyer in the middle.
However I'm getting a bit worried bout this transfer coz the rumour's been going on for nearly a month and nothing is hapening so I hope it's just a matter of time.
Any way Bobby is also trying to get his hands on Laurent Robert who plays for PSG he's a striker but can also play left winger. and he has quite a left foot
But i'd defenetly go for zenden.

Robert is good but he can't hold a candle to Zenden. I heard these rumours for a while now that Zenden would go to NUFC but yesterday it was on the Dutch teletext for the first time so that's a sign that things are progressing.
Tonight there will be an interview with Zenden about his plans on Dutch tv so probably I can tell you guys more tomorrow.

oh yeah there's no doubt there i'd sure prefer Zenden over Robert .... and i'm praying that he joins the toon coz we really need a quality signing ... not that Bellamy and Elliot are crap but their not world class
Bobby Robson had already signed Boudewijn once at PSV then a second time at Barcelona ... so that might help to make him come to newcastle.

I saw an interview with Bobby Robson yesterday and he said the deal for Zenden was "A dead duck" though Newcastle's club call advert (on teletext ITV 524) still reads "Double deal on" It seems Robson is frustrated at Newcastle's faliure to get the top transfers.

Well guys, latest update is that Chelsea is now in the market for Zenden as well.
Just heard it on the news here in Holland but Barca is still reluctant to let Zenden go that easily and can you blame them really?
However, Boudewijn told reporters that he wants to leave Barcelona asap.

OK guys here's the latest update straight from the horses mouth (Boudewijn that is).
It seems that Barcelona and Chelsea reached an agreement and only Zenden has to say yes to the offer.
However, Zenden wants to talk with his father who is also his manager about his future. Zenden prefers London and not Newcastle he says and that means Chelsea!
His choice is allso based on the fact that Chelsea will play in the UEFA and Boudewijn wants to play European football.
So it's very likely that he will go to Chelsea, Friday he flies over to Holland to talk to his dad and than he will decide what to do. He doesn't have to leave Barca he said cause he still has a contract for two more years there but like I wrote here earlier, he wants to leave Barca.
