After 3 days of playing this game I take a brake and wait for the fifamania patch and (haha) a patch (...).

There are some guys on this board who say this game is cool and stuff, but please, tell me: how can you like World Class level? Nothing against a good challenge: my fav game is Falcon 4.0 and I play NHL2001 on all-star with Chicago, but what's the point when 90% of the CPU's game come after it tackles your defenders and then spins 360 twiche in a row and fires it home.

Superior AI? Yeah, but only if you if you consider that the CPU asks these questions: what shall I do to beat the user? Answer: use the skill-moves EXTENSIVLEY. Pretty smart, isn't it.

I did not buy this game and I will not. Fifa 98 was heaven, and I wrestled with Fifa 99 for months only to see that it was far worse (didn't want to realize at first). I gave up Fifa 2000 after some weeks. Had Fifa 2001 been the 1st Fifa in the last 3 years I maybe would give it a chance, but since the 2 last (3 if you include Euro) versions SUCK SO bad I had it. I'll play NHL and NBA and just watch soccer in tv.
What the **** is the point in a bigger field if you can tackle from 5 (previous 3 meters) and all the passing is scripted. SCRIPTED!

fifa 2001 is ment to be played in multiplayer mode...once you've tried it, you never want to play againt the computer again

You know Fifa2001 really sucks when there's already a wishlist out for Fifa2002! Damn, Fifa2001 hasn't even been released yet and we're already talking about what should be in the next version. EA will never learn.

I think you basically summed up what I feel about the game - and also about Fifa 99. A lot of people thought Fifa 99 was great, but I didn't think it was that good at all!

I think fifa 2001 is a good game, but you are right...when the computer does 400 360degree moves in a row to go one on one with the keeper it si REALLY ****ing annoying. i have NEVER seen the computer score from a non one-on-one situation especially in world class mode- which is only the computer using special moves 3billion times in a row to get past about 4 different defenders. I was trying to support EA but this is RIDICULOUS, how can they possibly justify calling this world class mode- its a ***en joke

Spin moves can be stopped.It takes skin and timing ...Unfortunately it is a little bit too difficult for some of you to comprehend... You must time the spins and other specials.What fun would straight game be? Multiplayer rocks.It's who's the best who wins..The lag is NEVER just on 1 end.It's for both so really no crying for lag loss's..Even tho i protest 2 lag loss's hehe besides those 2 i've only lost to kiko at fifaclub.it i'm 29-2 overall and those 2 are from him.

But THE THING is, do you see players in real life spinning that bloody much??
I am quite sure you dont know much about football.
ANYONE who loves football and knows about football WILL NOT like FIFA games.

God, you're complaining that it is too hard! IF it is, put ti to proffessional for god's sake.

Im complaining that the **** is too EASY. I've won the world cup with Egypt (just have a look at their stats) already on world class. EA need to improve their AI to make it more difficult.

EA need to create an 'advanced' room in the online matchmaker. Im 10-0 so far.

The game is still very easy, i've beaten England 7-0 after play about 5 games. The only time I do bad is if the controls start to fail me or if Beckham does 6 360s and goes around my entire midfield and defense.

I think some of you never saw a soccer-match in tv.
I KNOW YOU CAN BEAT THE CPU BUT I WANT TO HAVE A TOUGH MATCH WITHOUT ME OR HIM USING THESE ****ED UP SKILL-MOVES.
What's the fun in it if you win by always making the same plays?

I find that its human nature to find an advantage and exploit it. It gets kinda rediculous when you have to change your tactics for the sake of realism.

i agree... i used to force myself to play the "most realistic" football as possible and avoid the ways that r guaranteed goals

Hmm i never played FIFA98, but i disagree about FIFA99. I think FIFA99 is awesome.

Atleast we both agree that 2000 and 2001 suck major.

And no i don't wanna start any fifa99/98 wars. Lets just be happy with what we agree.

You ate 100% write on every point you made! You got to love the FOOTBALL to judge the FIFA game. And they (EA) have to stick to their words "If it is in the game - it's in the game". So far only the graphics is up to the test!

look fifa 2001 is meant for network playing and stop complaining ur asses the game is good enough if u have dominated the game then dont play it any longer.start to go for bigger goals like playing with the worst team in the worst league in a world class since ur so great.of course with ma utd u will win lets see u play with altay(turkey) now thats a challange.

If it's too hard, go down to Pro. I think it's realistic. God players make skill moves a lot.

Pick the Worst Team Possible... Put it on Pro... and DONT use any special moves... it makes for a good game against the CPU.

BUt Please, Stop expecting a CPU to be able to beat a player like most of us who have been playing this series for Years, The game is Really hard if you are new to the series, unfortunately most of us already know every trick in the book so we can Beat England playing as Bahrain 4-0 on world class mode almost everytime.

If you want to enjoy the game you have to challenge yourself, don't expect a CPU to challenge you!
