Like FIFA 98, 99, 2000, WC98???
Just wanted to know...

yeah i play fifa 98 rtwc too, very often, i play it for the bigger fields, and for ronaldos awesome goals, and yes, for the indoor

How about going back even a little further?

This may seem odd, but I think my favorite version of FIFA might just be the original: FIFA International Soccer. I first played it on the Nintendo and then graduated to the PC version. Within the past year even, I formatted and dual-booted my machine with Windows 98 (formerly Windows 2000 only) just so I could load up FIFA Intl again (which was DOS only - that was fun trying to set up DOS sound drivers on a modern soundcard).

It was terribly simplistic, completely unrealistic, yet amazingly fun and addictive. And looking back, despite how far the FIFA series has come along, the very, very basic feel and pieces of the original game have been carried along since the beginning and I think that's what has made the EA series stand out to me.

I played fifa'97 last week. Man! it has a dodgey frame-rate.

I sometimes still play FIFA Int. Soccer either on PC or on my Mega Drive...


BTW, If someone have FIFA98 RTWC for Mega Drive, and want to sell it, I am interested (It's the only FIFA game I miss for Mega Drive)

I play FIFA '98 on SNES once in a while.

I'm playing FIFA99 now, and I think it's very cool... But the 98rtwc was (and still is) the best!

I play FIFA 2001 and 2000 and sometimes, just for fun because of the easy pass technik, i play 99. I still think 98 is the best, because it has like almost hundreds of clubs and national teams, thats because it was a WC game. I hope they will feature that many teams in 2002 too, cause that is a WC year too. does anyone know more about that?

I play fifa 98 on my pc. The game play is awsome if you compare it to fifa 2001. :D :D

I heard that it will feature 175 national teams and 16 leagues... Hope it's true!

Yeah World Cup Edition is the best one....coz' it contains even the not-so-famous teams in it.Like Teams of Asia (india,pakistan,srilanka etc. etc.)

I'm Really Excited to get my hands on fifa2002
but now i have so much expectations from fifa2002 that if at all it isn't like RTWC98 then maybe this will be my last fifa game

Well, I was putting all my hopes on fifa2001, but I ended very disppointed...

yes.i remembered playing the original FIFA...that was so corny but i felt the crowds were so real.haha

as for the so-called best EA footie ever, World Cup 98, i only own the PS ver and i've never played it on PC b4. 2000 was way too fast and fifa 2001 is too graphical. hope fifa 2002 will be the best evA~

The best soccer game by EA this far, no doubt. When it comes to enjoyability the game isn't beaten by any game. The only game to come close is probably ISS, which has better game play but not as many teams and is ofcourse, only available for PS...

I play FIFA 98 RTWC only for the Indoor soccer. If EA released a Indoor soccer game, i would buy it regardless of the quality of it!!!

Indoor soccer is addictive! :D

I am playing Fifa 2000 woth Fifa 2001, because i need to finish my fifa 2001 tournament and there are some teams, that F2000 has, but not F2001. I am almost finished, just need to play Semis and final.

Fifa RTWC : As Nike says the best FIFA game ever to be made :)

I play it a lot with my friends. I dont have a gamepad so when our matches come we watch the Ai play it with themselves. The gameplay kicks ass, simply blows all the other games away.

FIFA 99, with the "must-have" of the English Super Patch!!

I'd like to play RTWC because of the indoor mode, but it won't recognise my GeForce. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the official patches from EA? You can download them from here:
