I really liked this place before but later it became full of spamers who open same threads asking the sam fcuking question! :boohoo: And i have to say that admins are joking all the time which is not bad but when i really need help they actually dont give a fcuk but i still visit this forum(mostly PES)...

Mostly to talk about real football, though the lounge is quite a nice place for some laughs

I really like people which are here. But mostly I like football forum where I can talk with football fans around the world.

First, the games, but then i used to came here in a daily basis to talk about real football, the discussions were nice, and there was a lot of activity in the forum,

I also liked a lot the Grafix Forum that had a lot of members participating in it, learned a lot of things and started having some interest in the area, today is completely dead!

The only forum that still has some activity is the lounge, with all the private jokes and stuff, that i don't appreciate much.

Real football and Lounge. For me they are the most interesting forums on SG.
Most of the time, PES/FIFA forums are either dead or full with newbies regestering to make some sort of request. There are rarely any interesting threads about the game itself or something worth reading and posting about.
Both PES/FIFA forums are just about people making requests or edits or releasing some sort of tool or patch.
People rarely post on General Games and Hardware/Software requests forums so they're not really too interesting either.

I come here mostly for FIFA07 modding stuff, so I'm not a real big part of the community and I won't comment on changes to that side of it.
The only gripe I have is that the ads seem to make the website really slow-loading. Like, my browser freezes up for 3-5ish seconds every page I visit here. It's not a big deal, but it's just noticeable enough to be annoying.
And I'm pretty sure the ads at the top/bottom of the page are the cause. Not saying to get rid of them, but tweak whatever background function is pulling them in.

For myself, I come purely for the FIFA forums, and primarily because I find the signal to noise ratio here better than elsewhere (especially the official EA forums). The site is painfully slow over a poor connection but we live in a broadband world now and I guess we have to get used to the Web 2.0 approach (which tends to eat bandwidth like its going out of fashion)

I'm in it for reall football. I remember that when I joined, my brother was bugging me because the FIFA game I bought wasn't working right but it's been real football since. The good thing about this place is that the guys aren't complete morons like the ones on bigsoccer.com seem to be.

I think that most of us come here for a bit of all, almost me yes. I mean, you can talk about the last fifa, uefa, pes game, discuss about it, put your edition stuff, download other stuff, etc. Also, to talking about football is nice too, when games like el clasico, or the neverending Barça-Chelsea thing comes, is cool to discuss about it, to be a real fan, or reconize that your last game team sucks. Is cool to talk about the new players that could sign to the real teams, rumours, find new cool people, etc....as i said a bit of all.

Just agree about people that does not read the forum rules and puts the same post again and again, or people that insult or say "my last post!!!" and they come back, you know, this childish things. I know that to bring a site so big like this can be difficult and i guess that for this reason some times people writte fool things.

Aswell the spam, i found a lot of times some post like "best face ever!!!", you know what i mean, and then you can find the foolish thing in the world or simply adress to other websites, using this forum like an advertising.

But, in a 90%, i think that people that post here are cool guys which you can talk pace and calm. May be for all this reasons im here since a lot of years.

May be a new website design?? hehehe :P

Mainly for the football. I used to come here for the graphics but that forum is totally dead. The soccer forum is slowing dying too. I really only come to SG when I'm really bored, so I hardly post anymore.

I came here because about during the time FIFA 2002 came out I tried to look via search engines about the tips and tricks of the game, and the SG download section was #1 in the search engine results even better than the EA's official site.

So back then I found out that the PC game was editable, so I began downloading stuffs from SG, being a very green noob, sometimes I got difficulties on installing those patches, and e-mailing the author just didn't work, so I got registered in the Forum and start posting questions. And so yeah, I learned alot about editing the game, and eventually tried to do my own stuffs especially in FIFA kits editing, and yeah from SG Forum I also get a free education of digital graphic editing via Photoshop, who would've tought of that ? :)

Then, I start posting in other forums mostly the Soccer Forum and the Lounge, my favourite would probably the Lounge, cos' in the soccer forum I only care about Man Utd issues or there's a freak video/pic about a freak injury.

I do wanna make a suggestion here as well tough, how 'bout putting a locked sticky thread in the Lounge about the History of SG made by the admins, afterall if I'm not wrong this year is exactly a decade of SG after its establisment in 1997. The thread can contain the past mods, posters or anything that happens in the community from the good to the bad ( the flame wars with Soccered, etc ), and it's editable only be the admins, just my two cents.

What can i say, it's the greatest football forum around. We've got some great guys making all sorts of stuff for all our games. I LOVE IT!

At first I only came for FIFA. Than I 'converted' to C and later FM and started posting there. Now I post pretty much everywhere, but mostly on real football, if anything, also because the FM forum is rather dead(and that's probably because everyone discovers FM 2007 sucks). :(

I found this site by looking for info/downloads for Fifa games... I've stayed for the cameraderie... some cool guys here, you learn a lot (if you choose to) and you learn tolerance by having to deal with people from wildly different backgrounds. (& n00bs :D)

Like many other people, originally I went for FIFA 04 stuff, and by the time I realized that game was rubbish, I had already all but switched to the Soccer Forum.

Also, there are lots of comments on how the forums are not bustling with activity as before. Since I tend to have long breaks of inactivity on SG (must have stayed some 7 months away after the World Cup), the difference seems all the more shocking to me...

This comment is the very thing that is wrong with the site. There seems to be this attitude that just because alot of us have only recently become aware of the editing world and that many of you have "been there and done that" that the forums are now boring. Becuase I am new, I find them really exciting. There are so many of us eager to learn, who ask questions with zero responses. There is so much talent out there and if only you guys could share some of your knowledge it would benefit everyone in the Fifa gaming world.

I feel bad that I havent made one post related to either soccer or gaming in several years. I dont really have much time for SG right now but I occassionally pop round to make sensible comments in the movies forum and silly ones in the players lounge.

FM forum still maintains a gentle activeness, always peaks when a new game comes out.

It's a little like football stadium attendences, they dropped heavily but now are starting to level out, all be it at a much smaller level.

I voted on the last option, even though that's not entirely correct. I browse the forums all the time, but I don't post that much. I mainly visit the Prediction League Forum of course, but I also read a lot in the Soccer Forum (and its child forums), the FM Forum, the Player's Lounge and in the Other Sports Forum. I visit every other forum regularly too.

See i do that, but i went for the Lounge one in the end, least im honest.

I like the Lounge, and I also go into the Soccer Forum and from time to time the PES forum, since I was converted after getting sick of Fifa after 04.

I can honestly say I go through periods where I'm more active and less, depending on how busy life is.

I have noticed that things are somewhat slow lately. Bet they pick up in the summer when there is less pressure from studies and such.

I started making kits during Fifa 2003 and continue to do so. I spend most of my time here fulfilling kit requests for the guys games. I find the kit/editing forums are still the main reason I stay here. The vibe in those forums is generally more amiable than anywhere else. Unless you are part of the "In Crowd" of course, which I am not thankfully.

Whatever 12 year old thought up the "Rep" crap needs his botty spanked. It is juvenile and childish and serves only the cowards who are too pussy to tell you something negative to your face. It also creates more bad feeling than good so scrap the damn idea now. The fact that so many people on here now seem to use it is testament to the decline in the high standard that these forums once set.

Saying all that though. I wouldn't want to have my kit thread anywhere else but SG. I've made some good friends here over the years too and that has to outweigh anything negative I might have to say.

I just noticed a comment i got in my reputation list. It refers to a thread in the soccer forum where someone said "I hate people who colors their hairs and then looks like a homosexual!". I answered with a question, asking him what he thinks about people that don't look like homosexuals but actually ARE gay. He commented his negative reputation with an "advice" to leave the forum since I obviously are gay.
I'm not but i can't shut up if someone talks about them like that. It's not that this makes me angry, i just can't believe that people today still hate people that are different that much.

I visit this forum mainly to post about FIFA 07 stuff, help people with their FIFA 07 problems, update my CMP thread etc and post reviews/previews for NK FOOTBALL's gameplay updates. I also post about real football.

Originally because I had just gotten the Fifa '03 and wanted some cheats/tricks/and hoes. After that it's all been just fun and games.

However I love the ambiance around here, I mean, I couln't possibly go a day without visiting this forum and reading a racist remark. No harsh feelings I guess, we all know if we took those 'special people' and confronted them face to face they wouldn't say one word about someone's race or culture.

Yeah, there's absolutely nothing to prevent you from continuing a serious discussion just because a few persons joke around. Most of the time it's done to take the piss out of people who take themselves too seriously like "Turkish Armada", or some people in the Messi's Goal thread, who get all sore and bitchy just because not everyone thinks it's the most amazing goal ever. If anything, it's people like that that ruin the forums. :rolleyes:

Some guys decide what's good and what isn't. You can enjoy only it if you only watch the EPL, because they're mostly EPL fans who hate everything else. Also if you visit the lounge regularly you might like it because sometimes the soccer forum is like an extension of the lounge.

There have been always trolls and idiots, but they were a minority and they were shut down by the rest. Now it's full of idiots and they're well organized. One of them makes a lame joke and the usual bandwagon comes to support him. At the end they close the thread with their ****. I only have to see the topic to know how it will end.

Cool . Good mates and good memories, I've got a good few of each from these forums thanks to SG.

Sure there are down times, as there are always gonna be down times in life too, but all in all I just dont see any major problems with the forums.

There are some very funny guys around here who regularly give me a laugh (sometimes at my own expense it has to be said:) ), and also some who will calm you down when the conversation gets a little hot. Then there are the guys who get you hot in the first place:mexican:

The thing is, this is just a forum. and when you consider that we punters hail from just about every corner of the globe, then these forums operate remarkably peacefully I think. I think some people tend to forget the diverse cultures that we all come from, and some conversations or arguments get inflamed simply because this fact of life is not taken into account. I've witnessed many an argument between 2 people from opposite sides of the World, who expect the other guy to think like the bloke next door, when in reality thats impossible.

Its hard enough understanding a Manc and his culture, let alone someone on the forums, trying to express himself, writing from Katmandu.:funny:

I've learnt a lot about other cultures and other countries from the diverse mix of people that I talk to here. Thats been a definate plus for SG.

Well said mate, and I have to agree the various forums like Centre-Spot(anyone remembers that?) and Breamster are like the training grounds, atleast for me. I made sure my kits were good enough to be put on Centrespot or Breamster, and always dreamed of putting them up on SG once they are amongst the best. Too bad that i never actually opened a kit thread here. Thanks to the Players lounge for my still being here I guess!

Neways, the very fact that this forum still has more than 50 users online throughout the day speaks volumes, and unless you guys decide to insert more ads, i doubt there are any big problems.

Soccer Forum used to be MUCH better. I feel that most of the people who post there don't really know much about the sport.

Other random sub-forums like the Babes and Movies forums are quite interesting to visit every now and then. The Grafix forum used to be great, pity it's been dead for the last 2 years.

What's f*cked about these forums are the members. No offence, but some of youse take this WAY TOO serious..

Well... I just registerd 8 month ago but I visited here before 1/½ years for visiting. When at that time I usually find or FIFA graphics or getting grafix. As what I registered to show my sucking graphics for FIFA. After that my English skill was improved then I commented others work and become famous in that area(also+get rep too but now I can't receive them by posting suck works)

Then I posted on soccer forum to reveal my opinions a lot(some on lounge). It is my start to get negged. Before that time I didn't know what SG rule was, Like do not allow spam, pb(postboosting), racism, insulting, multiple-accounts.
I was a member in another forums and that forum was suck. There were lots of spambots, idiots, postboost machine etc. Most followed that. What a pity.

After when I got yellowcard then I look at old threads in feedback/suggestions or soccer forum about retards, noobs, cocksvckers who got banned and see who has high negs. Well I enjoyed seeing that.

Well that changed my whole life.
Actually I don't like PES database or things. So I visit every forums except predictions more than once.

Now I belong to patchsite well I am not german. I think learning English was good effects on here. I enjoy FIFA because those guys are easy to talk and comments or reply is really similar or easy(ex: need help!, here's my work, nice, stop spam, can you make this for me?, enjoy, released......). Giving rep is only able for person who has rep points over 11. And rep points you have more and if you approve or neg others it has more points. But sucker in FIFA and sucker in Lounge, Soccer forum has different rep :(

SG made me to be more active on life, speak more english in life, understand more joke, improved FIFA skills, better graphic skills, learn more real football, how to be reputed in real life also it made my school grade little bit bad but still top and some argument about using computer to make graphics, spend more time on commenting. :(

Well... I just registerd 8 month ago but I visited here before 1/½ years for visiting. When at that time I usually find or FIFA graphics or getting grafix. As what I registered to show my sucking graphics for FIFA. After that my English skill was improved then I commented others work and become famous in that area(also+get rep too but now I can't receive them by posting suck works)

Then I posted on soccer forum to reveal my opinions a lot(some on lounge). It is my start to get negged. Before that time I didn't know what SG rule was, Like do not allow spam, pb(postboosting), racism, insulting, multiple-accounts.
I was a member in another forums and that forum was suck. There were lots of spambots, idiots, postboost machine etc. Most followed that. What a pity.

After when I got yellowcard then I look at old threads in feedback/suggestions or soccer forum about retards, noobs, cocksvckers who got banned and see who has high negs. Well I enjoyed seeing that.

Actually I don't like PES database or things. So I visit every forums except predictions more than once.

Now I belong to patchsite well I am not german. I think learning English was good effects on here. I enjoy FIFA because those guys are easy to talk and comments or reply is really similar or easy(ex: need help!, here's my work, nice, stop spam, can you make this for me?, enjoy, released......).
