Is FIFA 2001 worth looking at, renting, or buying? Tell me your answer.
I just hate the MLS, it wrecks American Soccer. It is not as good as the FA Premier League or anything else. So, even though the MLS is in FIFA 2001, I still hate it!
So, Happy Holidays, everyone.
Hopefully visions of the MLS are NOT dancing in your heads.

It's a pretty good game! But why do u hate MLS, i think it's an OK league and it has a transfer system that keeps it balanced, and it's only 5 years old or something do u think the Premier League was famous after 5 years! I DON'T THINK SO!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY....EVEN THE MLS HATERS!

Actually the Premier League is barely 8 years old. The MLS are way too "americanized" for my tastes... they have changed rules, systems... does FIFA recognizes it as an official championship, and if it is, would it be recognized if they hadn't all that juicy $$$$

You gotta be joking me! If the Premiership is barely 8 years old, why do Manchester United exist a few decades ago. Actually English soccer league exists far back after the World War 2 but it isn't call the F.A Premier League far back.I think it was just called the division one....two...three and so on till 8 years ago. But the league structure is still the same that's why EPL is one of the most popular league today!

Look back..on history nothing much has changed
Thousands..of soldiers of all countries all marching the same...
Every nation's leader said that our side is right...
Every nation's leader said the time has come to fight..
But they use the common people to settle their scores...
It's time that we refuse to fight in any of their wars!!!

MLS reported a loss of 250 million US dollars this part year. So, i guess its not that juicy for them =).

There's no way in this world MLS would get as popular as the Premier League. One thing: Soccer is not as popular as Basketball or Football or Baseball here in the U.S. Second: if MLS deregulate how players should be paid....like in baseball, MLS would attract international superstars...money talks =). Sooner or later, Clubs' ownership will be in the hands of big time corporations and millionaires. For now, let's give MLS a chance....be open-minded.

NOTE: I heard somewhere that FIFA is bringing Championship Leauge (not sure the exact name) in the U.S. in 2002 or 2003. I read it some where in Los Angeles Times sports section....wouldn't it be nice to see Manchester United and all those other great clubs abroad to compete here? I sure do would love it....and they said...2 clubs in MLS will be eligible to play....Los Angeles Galaxy and D.C. United......hmm wonder how would they fair.....=). Now, don't be skeptical....i'm a U.S. soccer fan =).

Merry Christmas to all!!!

sXeDeXTeR: The english championship (PL, 1st division) exists since 1889... The First Division used to have 22 teams instead of 20... But that are just details.

A good and refreshing topic at last....teams with the names of The Royal Engineers, The Wanderers and Old Etonians dominated the early years of english football, then the first official league was formed in the late 1880's, i think it was 1888/89 it consisted of 12 teams..Aston Villa..Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton, Burnley, Derby County, Everton, Notts County, Preston North End, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, and Wolverhamton Wonderers....Preston North End did the first ever "Double" that year, they didn't lose a single league game to win the title and they never conceded a single goal as they went through the cup rounds to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers by 3-0 in the final...and also earned the knick name .."The Old Invincibles." for there efforts..and just a footnote ..Blackburn Olympic won the FA cup in 1882beating Old Etonians by 2-1 after xtra time..Old Etonians had beaten Blackburn Rovers in the previous years final..this defeat ended the Southern Dominence and no Southern team won the FA cup untill after the turn of the Century...Ned
