I'm a big fan of C. Ronaldo, and a die-hard supporter of the Portuguese NT...

But, because i'm not a biased f*** as some people around these forums, i really have to say that for me, Messi is slightly better than C.R.

I had that thoughts, since Barcelona's early showdowns against Chelsea, in the Champions League, where he featured and showed that he's in fact, a great soccer player!

Haven't seen Messi play lately, but it'd be hard to play any better than Ronaldo played in the 2nd leg against Roma. He is such an explosive player. They say speed kills, and I think that is definately the case regarding him.

What he probably meant was the C.Ronaldo is playing in a harder league, and I agree, I think it's harder to shine in the Premiership than it is in the LFP.

I think the LFP is more competitive.

I like both, they are different styles. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Quality-wise they are both at the very top end, so it's probably more a matter of personal preference than saying League X is better than League Y.

if you compare how good ronaldo was when he was messi's age messi wins hands down but the way they are playing at the moment you have to say ronaldo is better

its hard to compare these two this season, if you ask me i think messi has made more merits cause he has just recover from his first serious injury, everybody in barca including me tought he was going to be a bit rusty, but all the contrary, him and etoo recovering from injury have been barcas best players this latest months, cristiano has been amazing this season, but it will be more fairly if we would to compare them next season; when hopely both play their entire seasons.

messi dribbles and has better ball controll then ronaldo, but ronaldo is more of a full package he can almost do everything, and scores all types of goals, at this moment i would have to say ronaldo, and ronaldo has a bag full of tricks which messi lacks a bit, but i guess he doesnt need to bambusal defenders when you have the controll of messi, and i also think c.r is faster then messi without the ball which also helps.

Ronaldo cleaned house today lolol. Funny when they asked him who does he like to watch? he couldnt answer that one then he said Maradona. He also said jokingly himself. But maybe he doesnt realise the pisstake he gives defenders. Must be good to see after the game tho.

Yeh Messi had an injury so doubt he will pick up awards but he did score a wonder goal against Getafe. But Ronaldo for me is the best winger in the world right now. If not the best player this season in the world.

They both play fantastic football and they both have their goods and weaknesses. Ronaldo is a bit taller if not alot than Messi so thats why he's better with headers. Messi has more powerful accurate shot than Ronaldo and is superfast - way faster than Ronaldo IMHO especially in critical situations when facing defenders, he just loses them. Ronaldo could be a better dribbler and most likely is better 1 on 1 when facing a defender. Ronaldo is def. reaching his primetime and Messi is getting there too. Close call so I both think they are great youngsters.
